LPSC68...Scrapapage

I know...scary stuff to scrapapage...especially when you haven't scrapped in eons...just keep putting it off to make cute cards...suz they are WAY faster than a scrapbook page! Sheesh, Okay okay I'll start making pages again! YIKES! But not today...well I made a page...it's just a tiny page...it measures 5.5 square and it's on a card front so that I could photo it properly...those pages are tricky aren't they!

So this is a page from 3 years ago at my sister's wedding...my son was one of the ring bearers and he was NOT happy about taking pictures...he was only 3...my sister, who is beautiful and gracious took it with such ease and was not even mad...she is beautiful inside and out!

Isn't she stunning! I love the flowers too...a simple bouquet, but stunning, the pearl pins in the roses made them look exquisite! His little face is precious and I am thankful to have captured this moment on film!

Simple and elegant...I love how the DP is on an angle and the picture is going the opposite way...

This card is also for the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge (FTTC66) to use a picture in your card or use real picture paper...I might just leave it as a card and send it to her for her anniversary in August!

Feeling scrappy today!

So I thought I would share with you a double page spread I made this weekend! I actually got the layout from the Fan Club September challenges on SCS...it's a card layout...look at my card yesterday...see any similarities? I really enjoyed the layout so much I thought I would make is into a double page spread...also I used one of the SCS scrapbook challenges to get me going...did you know that they have 3 challenges a week for scrapbookers? Check them out here!

So as you can see these pics were taken on Memorial day...and unfortunately I have many morie that go further back that memorial day that still need to be scrapped, but hey 2 pages down...a million to go! LOL I really enjoy scrapbooking and journaling and keeping all those meories for the kids...I only have 2 pics of myself when I was little...so it's nice that I take all those pics, now I just have to organize them and get them into books! But hey I have my whole life right?

Here is a close up of the left page...I love the 5x7 image paired with a smaler image. The pacific point cardstock really goes well with the water doesn't it? Love the bright summer colors!

And here is a close up of the left page...isn't little Bella super cute? I love that hat on her and the little bikini...forget it! People called us the Bikini babes this summer because all 3 of us girls were wearing them...so much fun!

I also love the pic of David and Emelia sitting and eating their cookie...they sure were tired after all the swimming and sliding!

Just wanted to show you a close up of the little details I added...this is a die that Stampin' Up! now sells with the Big Shot machine and it's only $4.95 slides perfectly over a rhinestone brad! add some glitter and your good to go!

A page, a baby and a Tag

So I have been working on a scrapbook page for a local LSS...one of my BFF's works there and asked me if I minded making some samples for them to display, they give me supplies all I have to do is put them together!...so of course I said YES!!! I have made a double page spread, a card and this i my latest addition.... I think it turned out super cute and I just love the pics...Emelia was in a mood that day and was very into the task at hand. We had a blast blowing bubbles and taking pictures...she loves having her picture taken! I was very proud of this page because it uses only the basics of scrapbooking...paper and rub ons! For the large plum circle I used one of my dishes, traced it and cut it out...I then placed the plum paper on top of the shimmery blue paper and eyeballed that as I cut it, placed a photo under the circles and glued it all down. Cut the pictures to size and started rubin it on!...the only other tools I used were the two circle cutters for a little more dimension...and that's about it...isn't she a doll? I really do like this page...the black is striking and the bubbles just look cool. I don't know what company the paper is from...and they have already left the building, but the rub-ons are from http://www.scrappinsports/ and they are the get this "Bubbles" Rub-ons... I really am enjoying their rub-ons, they are cute, easy to work with and look FAB on my page!

This next picture is of my sweet baby Bella...isn't she the cutest! I love giving babies baths in the sink...after I clean it of course! This was her first, but definitely not her last...look how much fun she was having!!!

Another scrapbook page...

So you're probably getting tired of my pages...but I'm in a scrappin groove and I just don't wanna mess that up! So here is another scrapbook page. This one is of DS's 4th birthday...which just happened to fall on Easter Sunday this year...ohhh he thought he was hot stuff having all those people at his party and all those fun party games...this will eventually be a two page spread...but you know I haven't printed off the other pics yet!

This was a super simple layout too, you just cut the 12x12 picture down to 11.5x11.5 and then ink up the chipboard letters with real red ink and let them dry. Once they are dry you will want to ink up the berry image from the always set and stamp that with whisper white ink. The last step is to add the eyelets... I added them in groupings of 4 because well, he's 4!

This actually started by my friend telling me that Costco now prints 12x12 pages and that they only cost $2.99 each...so you know I wanted to check the quality and what they looked like...let me just tell you if I were to be a digi scrapper that is where I would have my pages printed! They did a FAB job and it only took about an hour to print...same as their other pics!

This was also created for the WT170 challenge on splitcoaststampers...to use photos on our projects...I'm currently working on another project, but can't show it to you just yet!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, life has been crazy busy, we went shopping yesterday and then we ALL napped and then went swimming and boating with the in-laws...FAB day, but by the time we got home I was too wiped out to do anything but fall into bed!

Some Pages & a Card

So one of my very best friends (Wendy) asked me if I would be interested in making some samples for an LSS about 30 minutes from our house...of course I said YES!!! They provided me with the supplies, all I had to add were pictures and adhesive and we were on our way! So here are the pages and the card I created...

I'm a little behind on my scrapbooking, so I decided to use this opportunity to make some pages of my sweet middle daughter, who just turned 2.5 last week! The pictures in these pages were taken during her first few days of life...isn't she just precious! I love how our son just loves...even now, although there is a bit more screaming and yelling these days!

Here is the rest of the double page spread...my mom and sister just loved looking into her eyes when she was born! The base for this spread I used SU! barely banana card stock and stamped the top 2/3 with the Sassafrass Lass stamp set. I then used some textured and shinny bazzil paper and created boarders and lastly I used some of the Heidi grace papers and embellishments. For the letters I used my cuttlebug Hippie Chick alphabet and I made the pea pod...cute huh?

This is a close-up of the little pea... I was very excited about it because I actually drew and created that little pod myself...cute don't you think? I even cut that paper strip teeny tine and curled it! Sponges the edges and called it a day. The little pea is actually made from the polka dotted paper in the BG and it it fuzzy... I love this Heidi Grace line!

And here is the card! I had some left over materials and wanted to show the versatility of the supplies, so I decided to make a card to go along with the pages...as a spring board I used the Featured Stampers (FS70) from today's challenge YLM's card here...Just basically copied the layout and used different embellishments and papers...I went old school and used mt pencil to make a curve on the back of the card stock and then used my scalloped scissors (gasp!!!) to created the scallop...traced again and cut it out with regular scissors for the curved designer paper...used some left over embellishments and voila...card complete!

Now the kids saw me crafting and they decided that they needed to make a project too, so I got out the glitter and glue and let them go at it...Isn't Emelia cute?

David said that one is for his Visavo and Visavo ( I know this looks like the same word, but they are missing their accents...how do you add them on a blog?) that live in Portugal...how sweet is he!

Sissy is Hosting a bridal shower...

So I had a little work to do! I stared with the invites a few months ago and have now completed the set! She asked me to make her 25 shower favors, 30 thank you note cards and a scrapbook for the bride to be! So here are some pictures of the projects! You have already seen the favors from this Tuesdays entry, so we will skip right long to the thank you cards and the Scrapbook!


Here is a little look at the front of the album, I stamped the cover with SU! ink...normally I would use craft ink, but since I was just doing a small portion that really didn't matter if it got a little blurry, I decided to go ahead and use the classic! I then stamped the over lay with the encore silver and the date with the black stazon...I followed it up with a little heat set with my embossing gun...not too long about 20 seconds or so.
A little closer view so you can see what the detail looks like...neato huh!
This is the last page in the album...I somehow got rid of the picture of the center pages, but they look similar to this one, On this one is a spot for someone to write what the bride is getting so that she cn keep all important things together...and not loose her list for her thank you notes! The other pages have a spot for th bride's picture on one side and a spot for each guest to write a little something to the bride...I love this idea, something the bride will cherish forever!
And these are her thank you cards! Aren't they sweet! I didn't want anything too complicated...since I was making 30, they are all heat embossed and one layer... I really like how they turned out and I lvoe how the thank you kinda looks like the stem of the flower!

More scrapbook pages

So we went to the Zoo not too long ago and as usual I took too many photos! But really can you have enough? So I made a two page spread that has lots of pockets and I was able to get a whooping 22 photos in the layout...amazed aren't you? So you wanna see the pages? Okay okay... you have twisted my arm!
This first one shows, well you know the first page...LOL I really like to spread my title across two pages, especially when using chipboard!
I really like using both the negative and the positive space of my chipboard letters...plus you get twice the bang for your bucks! Who doesn't like to save money?


I haven't done the journaling yet, I will be teaching this at a local scrapbook store and needed to have the sample in to them...so I will journal later!




So what do you think of all those pull out tabs? Aren't they the coolest! The stamp set I used I borrowed from my friend Nikki and it's called Mindy's Zoo by Autumn leaves. The pretty papers are by The Senic Route paper company. The chipboard is by making memories...I think, I have had it for quite a long time and seriously can not remember!

I did cut the page protectors so that the tabs can be pulled out and enjoyed by all who view my pages! LOL

For those that don't know...

I like to scrapbook! But who has time with all the cards and projects I have going on! LOL Here are some pages I made not too long ago... I really need to get back into the swing of things and lucky for me I will be teaching a class on the 20th of May over at Stamp-N-Scrap...so if you are in the area...take my class...it will be LOTS of fun!!!

Anywho here are some pages for ya!

Some Memories just need to be treasured FOREVER! in my case I want ALL moments in time to stand still in my camera lense...the kids get so sick of my picture taking! Here is one page with very little pictures, but something that I will treasure forever! When we were expecting our third child we wanted it to be a suprize...as we did with the middle child, anyways to make time go by a little faster in the delivery room everyone wanted to guess what the baby was going to be, how much it weighed and what time the little sweety was going to make it's appearance into the world...my sister-in-law and niece took notes and let me just tell you this is one piece of paper that iw ill treasure forever! Thanks Mere and Meghan!

This is a double page spread with pockets! We had gone bowling for Mother's day a couple years ago and I finally found the perfect paper to go with the pictures! I took the origional score sheet that we printed out and shrank it and printed it onto cardstock. I then hid it in a pull out pocket so that I would have room for lots of pictures!

The Journaling is also done on a pull out pocket...don't want to waist precious photo space!

I don't know about where you live, but where we are having a mohawk was all the rage! Our dear son wanted to try it out, so we though..why not! Here is a page with pictures of him getting his Hawk last summer! He's already asking for his summer do, so we will see if the Hawk shows back up this year or not!
