Banners Away!

So my sister-in-law is hosting an engagement party tonight and earlier this week she asked me if I could make her a banner and another sign for her wall...I said sure no problem! So what did I make?

Isn't this banner awesome! I went to my friend Nikki's and she was gracious enough to let me use her Cricut...Love it...hmmm I might need an expressions after all! Who knew! LOL

I used orchid Opulance cardstock and cut the letters in 5.5 inches tall...I think? Could of been 5 inches. Anyways, Once all the letter were cut I came home and used my cuttlebug folders through my big shot...fisrt I inked the top portion of the folder also with Orchid Opluance and then ran it through. After that is was Glitter time! While all the glitter was drying I cut out 15 top note dies on shimmery white cardstock and then sponged the edges with Orchid Opulance craft ink...my fav way to sponge!

After sponging I set my crop-a-dial to desired hight and punched holes for the silver eyelets on all the top notes and then set the eyelets.

Put it all together and you have an awesome banner right? Well I thought it still looked a little plain...so I found some pretty flowers added a button to the centers and of course more GLITTER! Can a girl ever have too much sparkle?

Now for the little stamped girl...you're probably thinking...hey that's not weddingish or engagementish...well I though gosh this would be a shame to trash it after one use...so pretty and so muh work...that I thought Hey I could probably use it for other occasions...so I started thinking and decided it would be good for a birthday or a bridal shower ad even a baby shower...so I will just switch out images and call it a day! This particular image is from an MFT set called "you take the cake" and I water colored again with the craft ink and aqua painter...added more glitter and cut her out!

Now, since I had all my supplie already out I went ahead and made a birthday card...never know when I might need to use it! LOL

Paper: orchid opulance, shimmery white, basic black (for card only)

Accessories: Crop-a-dial, silver eyelets, orchid opulance ribbon, mono multi, dazzling diamonds glitter (for card only blck eyelets)

The card is also for a couple challenges...Angelosities blog challenge using her sketch 25 ando also the MFT November guest designer contest...watercoloring!

Christmas Wishes

This card was made for Angel's "The 18 Rainbow days of Angelosity"
sketch challenge. It is actually a gate card and I love hjow it turned out! This Dove is a set from Little Paper Shop and it's called Christmas Wishes...Love the Dove and the sentiment font is just right up my alley! The cardstock is real red and the designer paper is a glitter matstack that I bought eyons ago for a bulk project...I believe it's from Die Cuts With a View but I could be worng! The center real red suare measures 3x3 and the inside layer is just a 1/8 inch shorter. I stamped the Dove in Kiwi Kiss ink and then sponged the edges, matter it on the red and adhered it to the card...now don't make the same mistake I did, I added glue to the WHOLE back side...DUHHHH good thing I had more real red carstock! LOL

To finish the card Off I added some ribbon and a white sheet of paper to the inside and stamped a sentiment on the onside as well...cute huh!

*** I just wanted to add that making this card was super easy using the Scor-Pal...simply cut your cardstock in half as normal and at the 2 inch mark there is a line to the right (between the 2 & 2.5 mark) score there and flip the cardstock and do it again...easy as pie!

This last picture is of the back...it has a small spine. These CD folders are made of fiber board and can be stamped on or covered with designer paper. Flaky Sketch

Here is my card for today's sketch challenge 201 on SplitcoastStampers.


I got this super cute snowflake die the other day (item # 113459) I did try to cut it out of a mylar ballon, but it just curled up and became impossible to adhere...so I went with option #2 using our gorgeous Silver cardstock! I cut the cardstock into 4's and was able to make 2 cards from one sheet! I then used some old olive cardstock and some Holiday treasure designer paper and a tiny little pice of Baha Breeze cardstock. Using my pretties kit I used one of the crystal rhinestone brads and called it a day! Super easy peasy. That's all the time I have for now...going to my friends house to work on a banner for SIL and then I'll be back with another skecth from Angelosity's blog.

Making Two Byrds with one Stone!

Today's Bible Verse...one of my faves!

" Love Suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself; is not puffed up; does not behave rudely; does not seek it's own; is not provoked; thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in truth; bears all things; believes all things; hopes all things; endures all things." 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Many people love 1 Corinthians for many reasons...I think the most popular verse in there is 1 Corinthians 14:13, but I like to read back a few verses to see what the Lord is trying to tell us about true love. He is suffering everyday because He loves us sooo much and there are many in this world that deny Him. He is not envious that we lvoe the things of this world more than we love Him. He does not make himself seem greater than the world, in acutality He reminds us that we will most likely be pursecuted for our belief in Him.

One of the most powerful words in this verse for me is "bears all things" He really did bear it all for us, He paid the ultimate price by dying on the cross for us! But even before that He choose to come down from the heavens above to live on this earth with sinners so that we could one day be in heaven with Him. I love how this verse not only shows us His unchanging love for us, but it's also a model for how we should live our lives with our spouces. We should not look for their faults but look to praise them and lift them up. What do you like about this verse? Don't suffer anymore and don't make Him suffer anymore, turn to Him and walk in His ways, love Him as He loves you!

Engagement Party Signature Book

Todays project features a wedding gift for my SIL's sister. I love this girl and have watched her grow as a person for the last 10 years. She has a beautiful relationship with her Fiance (they have dated for the past 5 years) and I am sooo excited that they will finally be joining in marriage!

Here is the cover to this sweet little book, it measures 5 1/8 square and it is covered with Designer paper using Modge Podge. I then stamped the little birdies using Stazon Black ink and colored their beaks with pumpkin pie stampinwrite marker. If you look closely the little bird has a little rhinestone on her wing...hehehe I just couldn't help myself!

I created a Belly Band to close the book when everyone was done signing. I used Orchid Oplulance card stock and more of he unkown designer paper and some very vanilla for the monogram (I used the Olivia Cuttlebug Alphabet for the "B") Some circle rhinestones and the cober was done!

Here's a picture of the back opened up ...I used 2 CDLiterature Folders to create the book. The books are made of fiberboard and are pretty sturdy! I will be using these in the future to house my picture CD's from my Digital camera. If you would like some of these CD folders they are 10 for $5 plus shipping to you! That's only 50cents a pice!

In this picture you can see the fisrt page, I covered it with some designer paper and punched out the little tab incase she wanted to put some little memorabilia inside, in the orchid scallop I will be putting their saying...which is "Making two Byrds with one Stone" as you guessed their last name will be Byrd!

Here is one of the two pockets that the book will have...traditionally tis is where the CD's or DVD's would go, but I'm using it for tags in case we run out of writting room! I will also be taking pictures while at the party and then will save the pictures to a CD and give it to the Bride and Groom...I did this for my sister when she had a bridal shower and it was extremly well taken!

This little book might be small, but it packs a punch! There are 14 pages that can be witten on plus the 6 or so tags! What do you think? Would you like some of the CD folders? Littile Paper Snowflakes

Okay so maybe the Snow Flakes aren't made of paper, but I stamped them on paper!!! I love this Snow Flake set from Little Paper Shop and hadn't gotten much of a chance to play with it and I thought to myself..."Self! Today is the day!" I went over to Angelosity (as the day for the BIG win is coming, and I checked out her sketch for today...I rotated it and flipped it, but it's here! I love how it turned out and these Snow Flakes are just so sparkly!



How did I do it you ask? Well fisrt off I just want to say that this card measures 6x3...love this size! YOu can make 4 cards from one sheet of 12x12 paper! Anywho I cut my paper t 6x6 and then scored it in half then stamped the snowflakes with Pacific Point ink. I then punched a scallop square of the same Pacific point color and after attaching the ribbon added it with dimentionals. ( this scallop measures just around 2 inches) The Whisper white cardstock is cut to 1 7/8 square, I then stamped the snowflakes in Pacific Point again and then went iver the inked lines with my mono multi and added some blue untra fine glitter....it is SOOOOO sparkly in real life. The sentiment was stamped using Stampin' Up! Craft Whisper White Ink...love that stuff!

Hosting LSC

Hello ladies and gents...it's my turn to host the LSC once again and todays challenge was to make a card or project using the color pink, 3 layers and 3 embelishments!

Before I share with you my card, I wanted to take you down memory lane with me today! It's my middle daughters birthday today and she is turning 3...can you believe it! Seriously where does the time go? I can not believe that I have a 3 year old little girl! Here is a picture of her when she was just 9 days old...some of you might recognize this picture as it is my avatar on SCS, she is getting so big and I just can't bare to change my avatar!

This next picture was taken a littl whileago, but I just lvoe it! I will share pictures from her birthday party in a few days!

Okay onto the card!

I really like the way this card turned out! I used Pun Fun (one of my faveorite sets!) and she loves kitties so it worked out purrrfectly...hahaha pun inteneded...LOL I crack myself up! LOL I also used up some designer paper from last year that I had left over and cut a cirlce usinf my CM cutting system and then cut off the excess going off the side...stamped the kitty on a pice of 2.25 x 2.5 piece of white cardstock and colored it in using pretty ink pink ink, certainly celery ink and a blender pen...added glitter and a number cut using my bigshot and called it a day! Thanks for looking!
