Hosting LSC

Okay this is my second time typing this up and I am a bit sad because I had it all totally and completely typed in and it somehow dissapeared into lala land! I will start woth some pictures of my sweet little Emelia...who is turning THREE today! I can not believe how fast time has gone by! This is a picture that some of you might be familiar with...it's my Avatar from Splitcoaststampers and I just can't seem to part with it! I have 2 other kids and I know they are feeling neglected cuz I won't change my avatar...but look how sweet she looks! Plus, now that it's been up for 3 years people might not know who I am if I change it! LOL

This next picture was taken a few months ago, but doesn't she just look the cutest! I will post more pictures from her 3rd birthday party in a few weeks...thanks for going down memory lane with me!

Now for the card! I knew it was my turn to host on her birthday so I took the oppertunity to let her inspire my Challenge LSC196. Her favorite color is pink...so you are to use pink somewhere on your card or project, she's turning 3 so what better than to limit the layers and embelishments to 3! Last but not least...she loves animals, so an animal must be used in the card or project! Here is my card! (her birthday card!)

I used pretty in pink for the card base, I then stamped the little kitty on a piece of 2.25 x 2.5 piece of whisper white cardstock and colored it in using blender pens and pretty in pinjk and certainly celery inks...added glitter and was done with that. Next I used a piece of designer paper scrap and cut a circle using my creative memories circle cutter and added it to the base and tied a pink gingham ribbon around it...for my last step I added a #3 chipboard number 3 and that's all...super simple and super cute for my super cute 3 year old!

Thanks for looking!

Supplies:

Dirty Dare Tuesday

I have been doing the Dirty Dare 08 challenges on Splitcoast Stampers and have been having a blast...today I combine all 3 challenges. Michelle's Challenge was to make a manly card. Christines Challenge was to make a card using water coloring. And the FAMOUS JulieHRR's challenge was to make a card with a white base. I hope I did the challenges justice...I don't know that I would call my card manly, maybe boyish, bit I still like it!

This card was actually super simple to make! I used my nestabilities to cut out my rectanglr opening and then embossed it with the number cuttlebug embossing folder. i then stamped tyhe image with black stazon ink and colored it in using my aqua painter and reinkers. Added some glitter, ribbon and punched out 3 1/4 inch circles and called it a day...So what do you think?

What will you need?
Stamps: Pun Fun
Paper: Shimmery white
Ink: Stazon black, wild wasabi and blue bayou
Accessories: Nestabilities, wild wasabi stripped ribbon (on sale now!) 1/4 inch punch, glitter, aqua painter

Don't forget about THE BLOG CANDY HERE. you have until Monday to sign up before I pick a winner.

And Don't worry I'll be back later today with my Tuesday's Teacher...just putting the finishing touches on the card! It will probably be after bed time, but I do have it done believe it or now!

Thanks for stoppin' by!

Rocket Daddy???

So For todays limited supplies challenge on Splitcoaststampers we were to use a knot on our cards and limit our layers...well I achieved the knot, but not so sure I achieved the "limited layers" still a super cute card...I'm supposed to give it to one of my sons friends who is having his 5th birthday party on Saturday...but I'm not so sure...it's so darn cute!!! The sketch is by Jen del Muro and I found it in the Stamp Ten Magazine.
Supplies:
Stamps: Pun Fun
Paper: wild wasabi, cool caribean, very vanilla, designer paper from SS Kit
accessories: cuttlebug, embossing folder, star punch, ribbon, square punches, 1/4 inch circle punch, CAD, silver eyelets

As you can see I loved the sketch so much that I had to make another one...one is flipped (rocket card) and the other is not...and yes I still call my Dad "Daddy". This is his Father'sDay card...he's not so much a hunter, but he does love the outdoors...well at least he's outside when he's working...which he seems to do ALL the time!

I was going for a mono cramatic theme with this one...thats why the animals are green. Here are the supplies I used for this card

Paper: always artichoke, wild wasabi, very vanilla, SS Kit designer paper (all SU!)
stamps: wild life reserve(SU), All yeah cheer (SU)Inkadinkadoo
accessories: star punch, square punches, crop-a-dial

Thanks for stopping by!
