Birthday Princess...

Barber style! Today on SCS is Featured Stamper155 challenge, and today's featured stamper is Karen B Barber. Check out her awesome gallery here! I loved it sooo and since I have to go to a birthday party in about an hour, I thought to myself...self, you really should have a birthday card to go with the present! So I checked out SCS and got inspiration from Karen's card here!

Isn't this a cute layout? I changed the whole theme of the card...Karen's was elegant and sophisticated while mine is...well cute and childish...perfect for a 5 year olds birthday! The stamp set is a retired set from My Favorite Things called Princess Birthday and I do love the set! Has a great sentiment too for the inside that I used a portion of! My card measures 5.5 inches wide and 2.75 inches wide...I love long cards!

Ink: Stazon black

Paper: Kraft, PTI white, pixie pink, DCWV designer paper

Accessories: Watercolor pencils, aqua painter (cuz I can't find my blender pens!), sheer ribbon, rhinestones, word window punch, curly label punch, dimentionals, designer scallop punch

CAS inspired

Todays inspiration 29 challenge was a shopping inspiration from this wonderful site. go check it out and see what you can see!

I decided after looking at the website that I was going to make 2 cards using the same stamps but in different ways. I loved how they show different ways to use the clothing items...so I translated to stamps! What do you think?
I made a wide card and used bashful blue stripped ribbon and the soft subtles colors for this card.

Here is the tall one...just done with bold bright colors and real red stipped ribbon...had to hand stitch the ribbon because I have no sweing machine here...silly me left it at home thinking I wouldn't need it! hahaha!!!

Supplies:

Stamps: Say Charge by MFT

Paper: Confetti white by SU!

Ink: stazon black

Accessories: real red and bashful blue stripped ribbon, crafters tool kit, thread, SU! markers

Thanks so much for stopping by!

CC Taken White close! hehehe

Today's color challenge 232 on SCS was to use Taken with Teal, close to cocoa and whisper white...I also used yesterdays manly CAS28 challenge...jus cuz I wanted to! LOL

This was made all of papers that we're already cut...the only thing I had to do was trim the close to cocoa mat and run the embossed panel through the big shot to emboss it a little! I stamped the Ben Paper Doll from MFT Stamps on Naturals white cardstock and then stamped him again twice on DP paper...I then colored the cape, belt, hair and legs with reinkers and a blender pen and added crystal effects to the belt buckle!
To finish off the card I simply stamped Congratulations in Taken with Teal from the SU! set {Warmest Regards} and added some eyelets an dimentionals and that was about it! Easy peasy and super cute!!!
What do you think? Your lovin it right?!
Supplies:
Stamps: {Ben Paper Doll} from MFT, {warmest regards} from SU!
Ink: Taken with Teal, Close to Cocoa, stazon black
Paper: Taken with teal, whisper white, neutrals whie, close to cocoa, SU! retired DP

LSC232...I'm Hungry!

Todays Limited Supplies challenge 232 is to make a project using food or something food related as your main image! But with a twist...theonly color cardstock you can use has to have a food name...barely banana, chocolate chip, creamy carmel...you get the point! The hostess (Berlycece...aka Kim) did say we can use white to stamp out image...so I opted for shimmery white as my main image...and stazon black to stamp the images...but I went by the books for the rest! I used only reinkers and a blender pen to color everything in...al woth food names!
I made it a pretty simple card and layout...I love one layer cards and this set really lent itself to it well! I hope you like it!!!
Supplies
Stamp: Garden Flopsy by MFT
Ink: Stazon black, reinkers, creamy carmel, more mustard, chocolate chip, pumpkin pie, close to cocoa, old olive and pumpkin pie
Paper: shimmery white cardstock
Accessories: 1/8 inch punch, small oval punch, gingham ribbon
Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you have a blessed day and please play along in this fun challenge!

It's once again my turn to host the LSC challenge on SCS and I have choosen a very easy easy challenge!

It's easy as 1-2-3 challenge

1 color cardstock (I choose fiding hood red, chocolate chip is my neutral)

2 patterned papers (I believe this paper pack is called sweet somthing by Stampin' Up! but I am really not sure...sorry my catalog is back at the room! shame on me!)

3 Embelishments (for this I choose some pretty risson, so saffron by SU!, a cool brad from my friend Wendy, and some rhinestones in the middle of the little flowers)

For this challenge I choose to use the super cute and super sweet Isabella Paper Doll stamp set by MFT...they have a new boy one, called Ben paper Doll, that I can't wait to get my hands on! And for the sentiment I used the Stampin' Up! set Goody Goody Gum drops level 3 hostess set.

I did it!!! I stamped something!!!

I have been working on these cute little tins for my nieces and thought I would show them to you today! I have been super busy lately...I'm sure most of you have with the holidays and extra kids at home and all, but I have also been packing...we're movig to Greece in a couple of moths and I am super excited...the mover come on Monday and then I move in with my paresn't...should be interesting...until we move in March! But I did get something done that I want to show you! I will have even more tomorrow...crazy I know...me showing you something 2 days in a row after being MIA for so long!
Anywho, you wanna see what I made? Of course you do!!!

This actually went along with todays LSC201 challenge over at www.splitcoaststampers.com to use some of your favorite things...I almost took it literally and used a stamp set by My Favorite Things and used the Isabelle Paper Doll set...I just LOVE this set... the girl is just too cute and the other images are soooo much fun to color!!! I stamped the girls with stazon black ink and colored them with water color pencils and then used a blender pen to get them nice and smooth...I then cut out the pretty papers and letters (using the Olivia Alphabet from Cuttlebug with my Big Shot machine) and added 2 coats of Modge Podge over everything to make sure it stuck super well...the girls are only almost 4 and 5...so they needed to be sturty and not too many layers or embelishments.I also used some old retire SU! papers...come of my faves that I have been hoarding...New Year New me...no more Hoarding! Here is the inside, you can see that I cut out all the little pieces after I colored them and then added Untra Thick embossing enamel to the front and back of each piece, be sure to just put one coat as the UTEE will start to crack if too many coats are added! I then attached a little piece of magnet to the back of each (I used a piece from a self adhesive buisness card I had laying around) and Voila!
Here is a look at the inside. I used more pretty paper on the left and adhered the girl and the dresser right to the paper with another coat of Modge Podge. Stamped the shoes and hangers directly on the "wall" and "floor" of the room. Thats about it! I kow my nieces will love playing with it as much as I have enjoyed making it!

Supplies:

Stamps: Fashion Statements (SU!) Isabelle Paperdoll (My Favorite Things)

Ink: Stazon Back

Paper: Whisper white, retired SU! designer papers, pretty in pink, pumpkin pie and chocolate chip

Accessories: Big Shot, cuttlebug alpha, modge podge, scallop boarder punch, water color pencils, blender pen

Thanks for stopping by!

May God bless you today and always!

Happy New Year!

Banners Away!

So my sister-in-law is hosting an engagement party tonight and earlier this week she asked me if I could make her a banner and another sign for her wall...I said sure no problem! So what did I make?
Isn't this banner awesome! I went to my friend Nikki's and she was gracious enough to let me use her Cricut...Love it...hmmm I might need an expressions after all! Who knew! LOL

I used orchid Opulance cardstock and cut the letters in 5.5 inches tall...I think? Could of been 5 inches. Anyways, Once all the letter were cut I came home and used my cuttlebug folders through my big shot...fisrt I inked the top portion of the folder also with Orchid Opluance and then ran it through. After that is was Glitter time! While all the glitter was drying I cut out 15 top note dies on shimmery white cardstock and then sponged the edges with Orchid Opulance craft ink...my fav way to sponge!

After sponging I set my crop-a-dial to desired hight and punched holes for the silver eyelets on all the top notes and then set the eyelets.

Put it all together and you have an awesome banner right? Well I thought it still looked a little plain...so I found some pretty flowers added a button to the centers and of course more GLITTER! Can a girl ever have too much sparkle?

Now for the little stamped girl...you're probably thinking...hey that's not weddingish or engagementish...well I though gosh this would be a shame to trash it after one use...so pretty and so muh work...that I thought Hey I could probably use it for other occasions...so I started thinking and decided it would be good for a birthday or a bridal shower ad even a baby shower...so I will just switch out images and call it a day! This particular image is from an MFT set called "you take the cake" and I water colored again with the craft ink and aqua painter...added more glitter and cut her out!

Now, since I had all my supplie already out I went ahead and made a birthday card...never know when I might need to use it! LOL

Supplies:
Ink: Orchid opulance, yo yo yellow
Paper: orchid opulance, shimmery white, basic black (for card only)
Accessories: Crop-a-dial, silver eyelets, orchid opulance ribbon, mono multi, dazzling diamonds glitter (for card only blck eyelets)
The card is also for a couple challenges...Angelosities blog challenge using her sketch 25 ando also the MFT November guest designer contest...watercoloring!

Thanks stopping by!

May God bless you today and always,

Gift Set

This little gift set was made for two challenges on Splitocoaststampers...the first was issued on Thursday and it was to use wire on/in your project and the other challenge was thr MFT monthly Guest designer challenge...and this Month's MFT challenge was to use black on our projects...easy enough right? I realy enjoyed making this set...so what's new right? I seem to enjoy making everything...good thing too otherwise why would I be doing this? Anywho Here are some pics of my set.

The first picture shows the whole set...it includes
-the box( that used the wire and satisfied my challenge for Thursday)
-a card
-a magnet
-a note pad
-a beaded pen.
This card was actually a brease to assemble, really just a 2x4.25 piece of designer paper, a couple of strips on black and a strip of blue that was scalloped nd hole punches...add some ribbon a shrink plastic charm and the sentiment and you're ready to go!
This is the box. I created it using a sheet of 6x12 chipboardish material...the hard board that comes with the SU! designer series paper (order a pack and youc an make 2 boxes like these...LOL) I used my trustu scor-pal and created this AWESOME little box and then covered it with DS paper...it's from American Craft and it's called Seuss. I made the handle using my wire, I think this is the 18 gauge but I'm not possitve. I just wrapped it around an SU! marker and called it a day!
I used my crop-a-dial to make all thw wholes and used some Shrink Plastic to make the charm/tag on the bag and card.
One of my favorite things to make are these cool beaded pens, they are so fun, fast and easy and I just love how they look...spendy! And you can coordinate them to just about any card set...perfect gifts!
Thanks for stopping by! Let me know what you think of this little set, if you have any questions please feel free to ask!

Tuesday's Teacher

Today's verse actually just appeared to me from within my computer! I have been thinking all day about what verse to use and not really coming to one that really hit home, so I got on to one of my favorites and trusty website Splitcoaststampers and quickly found a verse that really spoke to me! This verse was actually a banner for a new stamp set just released from a company called Our Daily Bread. Wanna know what it is? Okay here it goes!

Show me Your ways, oh Lord; teach me Your paths. Psalm 25:4

Okay so this verse really spoke to me in more than one way! First it made me think that we often time trust in ourselves and not in the Lord to guide us and show us where he wants us t be...the Lord knows the plans He has for us! And second, it reminded me how impatient we can be about where we think we should be and where the Lord is taking us! Here is my perfect example for today...Godcidence for sure! So today I was supposed to teach a scrapbooking class at my LSS (local scrapbook store) and had to reschedule due to a miss communication on hubbies work schedule. So we had the class changed and I was supposed to go there for 2 sessions instead one...one today and the other on Thursday! I live about 30 minutes from the LSS and you know with the gas prices and all this was NOT going to be convenient for me...not to mention hubby is only off on Tuesday and Thursday this week and we would not see each other much. Anyways I try to be a woman of my word and stick to what I've committed to, so I told the owner that I would teach the classes on separate days to make it convenient to the participants.

Anyways so I get to the LSS and I was setting up for class, I have to go to the front to get something and introduce myself to one of the customers in the store, she said "Oh, nice to meet you, I'm taking the same class from you on Thursday" so we get to talking and she decided to go ahead and take the class today instead of Thursday!!! So now I don't have to go back on Thursday and I don't have to worry about not spending time with hubby! Gos is SOOOOO good! This is a perfect example that if you live your life the way God wants you to he will always take care of you! Thank you Jesus for loving me and always taking care of me!!! What else am I being impatient about? I need to trust the Lord with everything in my life, he is the master potter, let Him mold you!

Product Review

Since I had been with my class at the LSS I decided to do a product review and show you another card I had made with one of my FAVORITE new tools! Yup you guessed it, the Scor-Pal. I think I'm in love! Let me just say that it's one of the easiest tools to use! It makes perfect Score marks every time and they look soooo crisp and professional! Seriously I don't think my fold lines have ever matched up so perfectly before! I also love the Scor-Pal website...they have some awesome tutorials and projects with step by step pictures to show you how to make each one and they have a super easy printer friendly version of each one!

So what does this thing cost?
They aren't too terribly expensive, they are approximately $29.99, not a bad price to pay for perfect score lines and a professional look!

Where can I get one of these bad boys?
If you live in the Culpeper area they should be arriving at Stamp-N-Scrap shortly...if not you can always order from the Scor-Pal website itself

Do I really need one of these?
YES!!!! It is the best.

What else can I do besides score with this thing?

well, I'm glad you asked! You can make some amazing things with it! I created a Faux wood texture on my Noah's Ark card a couple weeks ago. and you can also make embossed lines, grids or squares with it...check out this Scor-Pal grid technique tutorial on Splitcoaststampers...isn't it the best!

Here is my card using the tutorial:

Here is a close up of the grid...isn't it cool looking? I used these rain dots by cloud nine that my good friend Riley sent me the other day...Thanks Riley!!!

And this is a close up of the gals! Aren't the nice and colorful? Ready for summer! I also added a rain drop to the flower on the shopping bag for a little extra glitz!

And last but not least...the card! Isn't it cute? I lvoe the bright colors and all the gleam of the rain dots...especially the ones on the grid...what an awesome accent!
Supplies:
Stamps MFT
Paper: SU! tempting turquoise, pixie pink, green galore, only orange
accessories: Scor-pal, rain drops by cloud nine, water color wonder crayons, aqua painter

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a FAB day and happy stamping...or sleeping, whichever comes first!

Gift Card class

Hello all, just wanted to share the 3of the 4 cards we will be making at one of my upcoming classes at Stamp-N-Scrap in Culpeper Va...if you're in the area stop on by!

For this fisrt card I used the MFT stamp set...say charge...I just love how this turned out...simple but stunning. A little prima and some tiny hole punches and your card is done!

This next card is aslo a gift card holder and I used an inkadinkado stamp, I also used my markers to color in the ties! Wouldn't this also be cute if you used a number stamp set and add an 08 instead of the ties for a gradute? I lvoe how it turnedout and that paper is just the coolest!

This last card is too awesome...it actually measures 8x9 and it's a money holder! There is no stamping, but I lvoed the paper and the flower (it's a big sizzix die I got on sale!) layered it and inked it and added some bling...added the scalloped circle with some dotties and we are golden...easy peasy!

So stop on by Stamp-n-scrap and see what thr last card looks like...trust me you don't want to miss it! Plus I'll be giving all the dimentions the day of the class so youc an take it home and make more of these FAB cards!

Happy Stampin'
