This was a sketch as well as a color challenge...you could choose either or and even both! I went with both! The colors are chocolate chip, pumpkin pie and not quite navy!

For this card I used the stamp set 5th Avenue Floral by Stampin' Up! I just got it as a perk for Sale-a-bration...took me a while because I was trying go get military status before they would ship to me here in Greece....now I am free to order...just got my new catalog too! LOL Better late than never!

The little flower accent is not shinny in real life...I didn't even notice it when I was taking the picture, but this has to be in by 3PM so I was in a bit of a hurry...sorry about that!

Thanks for looking and don't forget to check out Clear Dollar Stamps...they are pretty awesome!!

Supplies:
Stamps: 5th Avenue Floral, best yet both by Stampin' Up!
Paper: chocolate chip, not quite navy, whisper white, SU! retired designer paper
Ink: Stazon black, pumpkin pie, whisper white craft ink pad
Accessories: Felt flowers, heart punch, rhinestone brads, scallop punch, sponge

Hope you have a stamp tastic day!

Your Next Stamp 1st Design Team Call

"Your Next Stamp" is having a DT call and I thought I would go ahead and apply...what's it going to hurt, they either pick me or they don't! LOL They wanted to see a couple of cards that I have colored so there are the two I choose...I have done them both a while back, but they are just too cute...so here they are!

Even though I am acting all non-challant about this application, I do hope to get picked...they have some of the cutest stamps...Their little Fhiona stamp line is just too adorable and I can totally see myself creating some FAB projects with their stamps! Plus Since I help host the Limited Supplies challenge on SCS (wink wink...shameless plug here!!! LOL) I thought it might be a good way to expose themt o many more stampers!

This card is actually one that I made a while back, the image is by The Digi Shack and I think it's super FAB!!! Love that little birdy strugling for the worm...you can do it little buddy!!!

This stamp set is from MFT and it's in the Bubble Bin right now...which means when it's gone, it's gone forever...so hurry on over there and get yours while supplies last! I love this little bunny and his crop of carrots...don't you? I love how simple this card is, but it's still stunning and I LOVE IT! So that's reason enough to re-post it for the DT call!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Say a little prayer for me...I hope they like me...really like me! LOL

CAS inspired

Todays inspiration 29 challenge was a shopping inspiration from this wonderful site. go check it out and see what you can see!

I decided after looking at the website that I was going to make 2 cards using the same stamps but in different ways. I loved how they show different ways to use the clothing items...so I translated to stamps! What do you think?
I made a wide card and used bashful blue stripped ribbon and the soft subtles colors for this card.

Here is the tall one...just done with bold bright colors and real red stipped ribbon...had to hand stitch the ribbon because I have no sweing machine here...silly me left it at home thinking I wouldn't need it! hahaha!!!

Supplies:

Stamps: Say Charge by MFT

Paper: Confetti white by SU!

Ink: stazon black

Accessories: real red and bashful blue stripped ribbon, crafters tool kit, thread, SU! markers

Thanks so much for stopping by!

For the Love birds

Today's card is made for 2 challenges...yesterdays color challenge and for the TSG16 Chalenge obver on the There She Goes blog The challenge is to incorporate clouds in some wahy on your card or project....I choose to use my circle punch and sponge and ink...cute huh!

My card is actually a pretal card...in the back it folds all ibto itself with 4 rounded corners...so I made a belly band to go around and make it cute!

I started with a plain piece of taken with teal and then folded it all around the card and then punched holes before adhering the pieces together in the back. For the piece of close of close to cocoa, I simply just snipped it with a pair of scissors and adhered it down!

I then stamped the two little birds and colored them in using my blender pen and reinkers, added some crystal effects and some gitter and called it a day! I think glitter look sooooo much better when applied with crystal effects...so much more shiny!!!

The tree's are from a There She Goes retired stamp set and I choose to leave them white because I didn't want them to be the focal point...but I do like how the look on the card! (I have a new set ofThere She goes stamps on it way yo me...I won last weeks challenge (random draw) I'm sooo super excited, so come and play along... you can win too!!!)

Supplies:

Stamps: Home is where the heart is by There She goes, heart from SU! Goody -goody gumdrops, SU! A little birdy told me, SU! God's blessings (sentiment inside)

Paper: Confetti white, shimmery white, taken with teal, close to cocoa

Ink: Close to cocoa, taken with teal, stazon black, tangerine tango, purely pomegranate

Accessories; crystal effects, dazzling diamonds glitter, gem, 1/16th hole punch, 1/8th hole punch,

CC Taken White close! hehehe

Today's color challenge 232 on SCS was to use Taken with Teal, close to cocoa and whisper white...I also used yesterdays manly CAS28 challenge...jus cuz I wanted to! LOL

This was made all of papers that we're already cut...the only thing I had to do was trim the close to cocoa mat and run the embossed panel through the big shot to emboss it a little! I stamped the Ben Paper Doll from MFT Stamps on Naturals white cardstock and then stamped him again twice on DP paper...I then colored the cape, belt, hair and legs with reinkers and a blender pen and added crystal effects to the belt buckle!
To finish off the card I simply stamped Congratulations in Taken with Teal from the SU! set {Warmest Regards} and added some eyelets an dimentionals and that was about it! Easy peasy and super cute!!!
What do you think? Your lovin it right?!
Supplies:
Stamps: {Ben Paper Doll} from MFT, {warmest regards} from SU!
Ink: Taken with Teal, Close to Cocoa, stazon black
Paper: Taken with teal, whisper white, neutrals whie, close to cocoa, SU! retired DP

After that I cut a piece of acetate to 5.25x4 and adhered that between the whisper white and kiwi kiss, stamphe sentiment on the acetate with stazon black.

Anywho, so my card is 4.25 x 4.25 and I used Kiwi Kiss (trying to get rid of the last of that!!!) and I then made a layer of whisper white that measures 3.75x3.75. I then grabbed my Urban Oasis designer series paper and cut it just 1/8th of an inch smaller than the white layer. Once I had all that picked I printed Jena Fairy twice and cut her out to 2x3 inches in size and matted it 1/8 of an inch bigger with Kiwi kiss again. I then colored the other image and pucnhed it out using my SU punches. Layered it all on and stamped a sentiment...added bling and called it a day! I was super excited about how it turned out! LOVE IT!!!!!

Here is a little close up of the coloring and bling...I love how the color in the wings is slightly darker than the outer edge of th wings and all the bling is just perfect! Don't forget to check out all the other awesome cards from the rest of the LPS design team!!!

from our house are tons of fig trees...they are actually all over the whole island...they are super yummy and ohhhh so good for you!
Here are the figs...after some eating had been done...should of remembered to take a picture sooner! LOL There are many kinds of figs...some are green like this and some are more brown or purple when ripe. I like them any color they come in!!

Don't these just look scrumptious? Our neighbor gave us a nice basket full of figs and they were gone in just a few short hours. My kids LOVED them (Okay all my kids but Emelia, she has this thing about trying new things...I guess it's a 3 year old thing!) If you have never had fresh figs...you NEED to try them!!

Thanks for stopping by! And remember to try the things around you! There are wonderful things all around you that are just needing to be explored! So take time to smell the figs! LOL

I've been inspired...

by todays inspiration challenge 192 on splitcoaststampers. Today we were inspired by some gorgeous vases at Bellacor Vases the one I loved is this pretty one with blues and greens and yellow it has a pretty flower on it too...so nice!

This is the vase I was inspired by...I also like the hint of red and yellow on there...so for my card I went a little more green with hints of yellow.

For my card I choose to use Wednesdays sketch 240 challenge I also went more unconventional and stamped an image on some designer paper...I think it looks pretty cool. Added a pretty flower and some whinestones...I love the bling!!!

The embossing created a pattern just like in the vase...I like it, I really like it! (in my best black and white movie, heroin voice)

Supplies:
Stamps: Baroque Motifs by Stampin' Up
Paper: sage shadow, rose red, so saffron, close to cocoa
Ink: stazon black, sae shadow
Accessories: jumbo eyelets, crystals, crop-a-dial, CB embossing folder, big shot, prima flower

Anywho, thanks for stopping by!

May you be blessed today!

I had an impromtu birthday party to attend this evening and I decided to make hima super quick card and fill with cash...I wanted simple and I wanted quick...so I used a basic layout that I hadlready used this week, but instead of embossing...I debossed...I think it turned out super cute and I know the boys Momma loved it! LOL

Here is a closeup of the card for you...I love how the debossing looks! (simply flip your CB folder upside down and then run through the machine as normal) I added a a silver brad to add some accent and since the little cupcae was so small I added a little white square to break up the space between the cupcake wrapper and DSP in the background.

I don't know if you can see it, but the upcake has chuncky glitter on top and is also popped up on a dimentional...too cute...the glitter was my daughters choice...she's 3.5! LOL

And here is a full view of the card...cute huh! LOVE IT!!! Alwahough it's had to take a good pi of this card...I love making them...this cuttlebug folder needs to look out! Lots of use coming it's way!!!

LSC232...I'm Hungry!

Todays Limited Supplies challenge 232 is to make a project using food or something food related as your main image! But with a twist...theonly color cardstock you can use has to have a food name...barely banana, chocolate chip, creamy carmel...you get the point! The hostess (Berlycece...aka Kim) did say we can use white to stamp out image...so I opted for shimmery white as my main image...and stazon black to stamp the images...but I went by the books for the rest! I used only reinkers and a blender pen to color everything in...al woth food names!
I made it a pretty simple card and layout...I love one layer cards and this set really lent itself to it well! I hope you like it!!!

another 150 Birth Announcements

So I while back I was asked to make 150 bith announcements...and I just realized that I had not shared then with you! Shame on me!!! So here is a quick little post to share!

This is the front of the card. I love how the picture flap lifts up and reveals the information! I used the brayton set from Just Right Stampers for his name and then I used the little tiny (the set is only $5.95 and it comes with tweezers to help put them in place!) letters for the date and weight...I think it's super cute! Plus who doesn't love this paper!!!! I wish it hadn't retired!!!

This is the inside of the card. I love how they wanted the awesome bible verse! Every perfect gif is from above and every child is a perfect gift! Stamp a few little stars on the inside to match the outside and you're good to go!

Supplies:
Stamps: Nurcery Necessities by SU!, brayton alphabet and Small Letter set by Just Rite Stampers
Ink: Baja Breeze, Old olive
Paper: Baja Breeze, oldolive, kraft, very vanilla, SU! designer paper

CAS challenge 8/3/09

So todays CAS (clean and simple) challenge on SCS is to use stitching on your cards...weather it be real stitching or faux! I opted for faux...since I don't have my machine here...boo hiss!
So for my card I wanted it to be EXTREMLY simple and clean...So I used my ultimate FAV paper in the whole wide world! Shimmery white cardstock! It rocks and it's sooo fancy! And I used my smewhat neglected embossing folder...the one with the frame...I just had to have that one and it makes awesome cards!
Once I cut, scored and embossed my card, all I did was use my exacto knife an cut out the opening of the frame...leaving a little smidge so I could stitch around it! I then used a micro fine tip point and did my deed...stitching! Took a piece of designer paper and cut it to 4 x 5.25 and adhered it to the inside of the card. Then on the little scrap that I cut out from the frame, I stamped the little duck from the Stampin' Up! set called "Goody Goody Gum Drop", hostess level three from last years catalog, and colored it using rose red ink and a blender pen,,,added a touch of summer sun to the beach and some close to cocoa for the wheels...cut, add dimentional and voila! Card complete!

And here is a bit of a close up so you can see the cards awesomeness and sheer simplicity! I did add a rhinestoneto the little bow...I think it looks super cute!

Supplies:

Stamps: Goody goody gumdrops by SU!

Ink: Stazon Black, and re inkers in rose red, close to cocoa, summer sun

Paper: shimmery white, rose red designer series paper

Accessories; Micro point pen, blender pens, rhine stone brads, big shot, CB embossing folder, dimentionals

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you get a change to play in Today's challenge CAS26!

Happy Stampin'

May your day be ducky!

I made some stuff!!!!

I've been creating lots...just no time to upload! grrr...I guess with all the gorgeous weather outside...I don't want to be on the comp...but I MUST show you what I have made...it's just too cute and I love it!!! I have another card to show you, but it's buried in a HUGE SD card with over 1500 pictures...so I need to find it first! LOL

We went to a birthday party yesterday (little boy turning 1) and I already had a little shirt for him, but I wanted to add a little something to it. Andrew was napping and so were the kids, so I made a star book (Click here for Instructions, they were already made, so why re-invent the wheel with a tutorial?) They are very impressive and super cute! I also used my star punch and scor-pal to make the awesome 3-D stars for the cover. Colored the images with an inkpad and blender pen...gotta love me some blender pens!

And here is a picture of the book all opened up...pretty cool huh! One of my FAV albums to make...maybe I should try a mini one! I bet that would be super cute!!!

Made a super cute card to go with the book...love how it turned out and I used up a bunch of textured cardstock that has just been sitting there since it retired last year! I'm so bad at hoarding!!! The eyelets were the perfect touch and didn't make the card too bulky...and sinc eI didn't have the ink pads or refills anympre the always artichoke did the trick for the grass...not to bad!!!

And here is a picture of the whole ensamble...pretty cute if I do say so myself! I even made the bag! Instruction can be found here and here. I also added some of the left over white paper from the designer series paper to stregthen the bag handles...too cute! Of course it all had to match...plus I didn't have any boy bags...so I just had to make one! LOL gotta love matching paper packs!!!
Supplies:
Stamps: All from SU! Bundle of Jy, warmest regards, nursery necessities
Inks: Stazon black, baja breeze, creamy carmel, summer sun
Paper: wild wasabi, whisper white, buckaro blue, and manchester designer series paper
Accessories: star punch, scor-pal, blender pens, eyelets, crop-a-dial, 1 inch sheer cream ribbon, glitter, big shot, top note die, word window punch, dementionals...I think that's all! LOL I already gave it away and can't remember what else I used!
Anywho, I hope you like my little ensamble! Have a great day!
Hugs and happy Stampin'
Silvia
