Clearly squeekin in!

Hi there...second post of the day after being gone for a week! I know I know...but I have a super cute card to share with you....it's for the Clear Dollar Stamps guest designer contest found here...and I just got home, but HAD to make a card, I love their images!!!

This was a sketch as well as a color challenge...you could choose either or and even both! I went with both! The colors are chocolate chip, pumpkin pie and not quite navy!

For this card I used the stamp set 5th Avenue Floral by Stampin' Up! I just got it as a perk for Sale-a-bration...took me a while because I was trying go get military status before they would ship to me here in Greece....now I am free to order...just got my new catalog too! LOL Better late than never!

The little flower accent is not shinny in real life...I didn't even notice it when I was taking the picture, but this has to be in by 3PM so I was in a bit of a hurry...sorry about that!

Thanks for looking and don't forget to check out Clear Dollar Stamps...they are pretty awesome!!

Supplies:
Stamps: 5th Avenue Floral, best yet both by Stampin' Up!
Paper: chocolate chip, not quite navy, whisper white, SU! retired designer paper
Ink: Stazon black, pumpkin pie, whisper white craft ink pad
Accessories: Felt flowers, heart punch, rhinestone brads, scallop punch, sponge

Hope you have a stamp tastic day!

Happy Stampin'

I've been inspired...

by todays inspiration challenge 192 on splitcoaststampers. Today we were inspired by some gorgeous vases at Bellacor Vases the one I loved is this pretty one with blues and greens and yellow it has a pretty flower on it too...so nice!

This is the vase I was inspired by...I also like the hint of red and yellow on there...so for my card I went a little more green with hints of yellow.

For my card I choose to use Wednesdays sketch 240 challenge I also went more unconventional and stamped an image on some designer paper...I think it looks pretty cool. Added a pretty flower and some whinestones...I love the bling!!!

The embossing created a pattern just like in the vase...I like it, I really like it! (in my best black and white movie, heroin voice)

Supplies:
Stamps: Baroque Motifs by Stampin' Up
Paper: sage shadow, rose red, so saffron, close to cocoa
Ink: stazon black, sae shadow
Accessories: jumbo eyelets, crystals, crop-a-dial, CB embossing folder, big shot, prima flower

Anywho, thanks for stopping by!

May you be blessed today!

CAS challenge 8/3/09

So todays CAS (clean and simple) challenge on SCS is to use stitching on your cards...weather it be real stitching or faux! I opted for faux...since I don't have my machine here...boo hiss!
So for my card I wanted it to be EXTREMLY simple and clean...So I used my ultimate FAV paper in the whole wide world! Shimmery white cardstock! It rocks and it's sooo fancy! And I used my smewhat neglected embossing folder...the one with the frame...I just had to have that one and it makes awesome cards!
Once I cut, scored and embossed my card, all I did was use my exacto knife an cut out the opening of the frame...leaving a little smidge so I could stitch around it! I then used a micro fine tip point and did my deed...stitching! Took a piece of designer paper and cut it to 4 x 5.25 and adhered it to the inside of the card. Then on the little scrap that I cut out from the frame, I stamped the little duck from the Stampin' Up! set called "Goody Goody Gum Drop", hostess level three from last years catalog, and colored it using rose red ink and a blender pen,,,added a touch of summer sun to the beach and some close to cocoa for the wheels...cut, add dimentional and voila! Card complete!

And here is a bit of a close up so you can see the cards awesomeness and sheer simplicity! I did add a rhinestoneto the little bow...I think it looks super cute!

Supplies:

Stamps: Goody goody gumdrops by SU!

Ink: Stazon Black, and re inkers in rose red, close to cocoa, summer sun

Paper: shimmery white, rose red designer series paper

Accessories; Micro point pen, blender pens, rhine stone brads, big shot, CB embossing folder, dimentionals

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you get a change to play in Today's challenge CAS26!

Happy Stampin'

May your day be ducky!

I made some stuff!!!!

I've been creating lots...just no time to upload! grrr...I guess with all the gorgeous weather outside...I don't want to be on the comp...but I MUST show you what I have made...it's just too cute and I love it!!! I have another card to show you, but it's buried in a HUGE SD card with over 1500 pictures...so I need to find it first! LOL

We went to a birthday party yesterday (little boy turning 1) and I already had a little shirt for him, but I wanted to add a little something to it. Andrew was napping and so were the kids, so I made a star book (Click here for Instructions, they were already made, so why re-invent the wheel with a tutorial?) They are very impressive and super cute! I also used my star punch and scor-pal to make the awesome 3-D stars for the cover. Colored the images with an inkpad and blender pen...gotta love me some blender pens!

And here is a picture of the book all opened up...pretty cool huh! One of my FAV albums to make...maybe I should try a mini one! I bet that would be super cute!!!

Made a super cute card to go with the book...love how it turned out and I used up a bunch of textured cardstock that has just been sitting there since it retired last year! I'm so bad at hoarding!!! The eyelets were the perfect touch and didn't make the card too bulky...and sinc eI didn't have the ink pads or refills anympre the always artichoke did the trick for the grass...not to bad!!!

And here is a picture of the whole ensamble...pretty cute if I do say so myself! I even made the bag! Instruction can be found here and here. I also added some of the left over white paper from the designer series paper to stregthen the bag handles...too cute! Of course it all had to match...plus I didn't have any boy bags...so I just had to make one! LOL gotta love matching paper packs!!!
Supplies:
Stamps: All from SU! Bundle of Jy, warmest regards, nursery necessities
Inks: Stazon black, baja breeze, creamy carmel, summer sun
Paper: wild wasabi, whisper white, buckaro blue, and manchester designer series paper
Accessories: star punch, scor-pal, blender pens, eyelets, crop-a-dial, 1 inch sheer cream ribbon, glitter, big shot, top note die, word window punch, dementionals...I think that's all! LOL I already gave it away and can't remember what else I used!
Anywho, I hope you like my little ensamble! Have a great day!
Hugs and happy Stampin'

Trey's Birthday card

We have a birthday party to go to this Saturday for a little boy who's turning 2! He loves cars and is having a cars themed birthday party...unfortunately I don't have any car stamps! So this is as good as it gets!

I loved Monday's grid Challenge so much that I had to make another card using the technique...if you haven't tried it you really really have to give it a whirl...super easy and a great look!

For today WT Challege we were to use two of somethig. Since it didn't matter what it was, I used 2 eyelets. I think this card turned out cute and I especially love all the silver glitter and how the rocket looks like it's taking off...and since the little boy I'm giving it to only has one speed...fast, this card is very appropriate! I think the grid and the embossed number panel really add a lot of texture and interest!

Supplies:

***all from Stampin' Up!

Stamps: wanted, pun fun, curvey verses

Ink: pacific pont, certainly celery, baja breeze

Paper: pacific point, basic black, baja breeze, certainly celery, whisper white

Acccessories: number CB embossing folder, glue, glitter, crop-a-dial, eyelets

Thank you so much for stopping by! YOU are truly a blessing to me and I thank you for helping to brighten my day!

Happy Stampin'

P.S. May you be blessed and a blessing today!

I've been Inspired!

Today's Inspiration Challenge 188- Chasing fireflies was inspired by the website Chasing Fireflies. Boy do they have some super cute things! When I clisked on the toys section the picture below is what I saw, I was totally inspired by the awesome colors! So I made a card using them!

This is my card here I really like how it turned out! I love the white shadowing and the pretty orange sun and even the pink background...but I just couldn't work the red in! Ohhh well I did get a tad bit of green and that wasn't even though that wasn't in the picture...it still looks cute!!! LOL

For ther flowers I simply stamped them in tempting turquiose and then went over them with a versamarker and covered in clear embossing powder and heat set. Then I punched a circle on a piece of scrap paper and a sponge to create the sun. Then placed the circle on top of my already orange circle and created the pink behind the flowers...very fun adn super easy card to make!

Thanks for looking!

Here is a list of things I used:

Supplies:
Stamps: Upsy Daisy by Stampin' Up!, sentiment is from a Little Paper Shop set called Endless Arrangements
Ink: Tempting turquoise, stazon black, pretty in pink, tangerine tango
Papers: Prett in pink, tangerine Tango, whisper white, naturals white, pink flamingo designer paper
Accessories: Pretties kit, 1 3/8 circle punch, sponge, versa marker, clear embossing powder, heat gun, certainly celery grosgrain ribbon, 1/8 inch circle punch, 1/2 inch circle punch

Thank you soo much for stopping by! One more day till I complete 7 days of challenges! YEAHHH!!!

This is actually one of my FAVORITE Stampin' Up! sets...I love the versitility and I love how cheery they are! This set is called "Pun Fun" and I think it's adorable! Accessories: linnen thread, craftors tool kit, rih regal brads, filigree brads, aqua painter, sponge
HMMMMM maybe it's the sponging that I don't like...kinda muddy looking!

Emelia was in heaven when she said it...it was a fin and it was pink! Can you imagine a pink fin! Anyways she loved it sooo much she just kept swimming with it and singing, I'm a mermaid I'm a mermaid I'm a mermaid...doesn't she look adorable?

Kusudama balls

I am totally and hopelessly addicted to origami right now! Useful origami...I know most origami is useful to look at, but these Kusudama balls can be ornaments! Who wouldn't love a glorious handmade ornament? These ornaments are not for the faint of heart...they take some time and dedication, but they sure are worth the effort!
To make some of these Kusudama balls you will need:

**60 pieces of 3x3 paper
**glue
**patience
And here is a close up of the ornament...pretty neat looking huh?

I know you will all want to see how it's made....soooo

Here is the link to part one of the tutorial and here is the link to part two of the tutorial.
I have been trying to post this all weekend...my darn computer is super slow!!! I will be posting my Little Paper Shop Monday DT challenge a little later today! Thanks for stopping by!
If you do try to make these lovely ornaments please leave me a comment with a link...I would love to see them!

Scallop Envelope Box

YUP you read that right! I made this super cute little box from the scalloped envelope die cut! Not only is it cute but it's super easy! And only a minimal amount of supplies needed!

***I got my big shot yesterday and it needed some lovin!!!LOL***

Lets get started! First cut your piece of 8.5 x 11 cardstock into 4's.

Line it up on the die so that everything gets cut...I recomend only doing 2 at a time, otherwise the crease fold gets cut with so much paper...ask me how I know! LOL

Then you fold it at the score lines with the pretty scallop out and the rest folded in.

glue the little flaps and fottom flats together and presto magic you have a box!

I decided to go very simple, I could add a tag, but for thi one I just added some designer paper...one sheet that measure 3x8 cut into 2x3 pieces and some ribbon! add some gel pen dots, some fluff and candy and you're done! Can be used for anything really!

What do you think? Love you love it?

Supplies:

Stamps: None
Ink: None
Paper: real red, Holiday Treasure Designer paper
Accessories: Big Shot, Scallop envelope die, ribbon, gel pen

Thanks for stopping by!

Haloween Treats...

Hey there, Just wanted to share what I have been up to today! I was planning on doing today's sketch challenge 200, but other things got in the way...gotta hate it when that happens!
So I have a little Halloween party to go to tomorrow with MOPS in Culpeper Va and since it's my first time coming I didn't want to come empty handed!
I was already making some (40 to be exact) of these treats for DS's preschool party on Friday I figured why not! Right! So I have totally completed 30...cuz thats how many I needed for tomorrow and have almost all the rest finished...all bags are stuffed thanks to my lovely kids! and I punched all the black scallops and David and DH folded them and added them to the bags...David LOVES to staple anything, so this was a special treat for him...HAHHAAHAHA

These little baggies were super easy to make! Just 4 bags of candy corn and 70 glassine bags, 7 sheets of black cardstock and so far only 1/2 sheets of orange and wishper white...I still need to stamp 13 more cats and punch out 40 more scallop pumpkin pie circles and adhere them to the baggies...other than that I'm done...HAHAHA

Supplies:

Stamps:Batty for you

Paper: Pumpkin Pie, whisper white, basic black

Inks: black stazon

Accessories: small Glassine bags, scallop circle punch (SU!), Marvy giga scallop punch (for black circles...about 2-3 inches wide), 1 1/4 inch circle punch

So last yeat I used the pumkin in this set and this year I'm using the kitty, at this rate I have 6 more Halloweens before I have to buy another Halloween set! LOL

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Stampin'

May God bless you today and always!

On a little side note, my brother-in-law was kind enough to point out to me tonight that most computers today, most programs for that matter, have a spell check feature...I really don't know what he was trying to get at! I guess he doesn't know that I have 3 small kids and am just typing as fast as I can to get it posted with no time to proof read or spell check! But you know what Gary, Jesus loves me and my imperfections, He accepts me for who I am, mmistakes and all...why can't you? (HEHEHE!!!)

Sketchy Book

This little book was made using today's sketch challenge 199 on Splitcoaststampers. I love the sketch but was int he mood to make a little book. I had gotten these little baggies with the intentions of making something with them and just hadn't gotten around to it...so today was the day!

The front cover uses the sketch. I love these papers eventhough they are retired! and so is the alpha set that I used for the title and stars. It's very simple really! The book measures 4x3 and the layers are all very small, so this really didn't take many supplies at all! I stamped the snowflakes using old olive classic ink on shimmery white cardstock and then stamped the stars with black stazon ink along with the title.

For the main bags I actually cut the little flap off and made a notch...using scissors of all things! I then cut a piece of cardstock to fit the inside and stamped a snowflake on each bag using white stazon ink...I think it adds a perfect little touch! Each little page actually fits a wallte photo perfectly! Too Cute!

And this is the pic of the front page...just the sentiment from the Snow Swirled set and a bunch of the snowflakes! a great place to write a little note to the recipient or leave as is!

Supplies:

Stamps: Snow swirled, straight up alpha and numbers

Ink: black stazon, white stazon, old olive

Paper: shimmery white, old olive, real red, retired designer series paper

Accessories: eyelets, crop-a-dial, prima flowers, glassine bags

I'll be making another one of our sumemr vacation to give as gifts this year so be sure to check back soon! If you would like some of these bags I have 3 sets of 50 left. they cost $5.50 and that includes shipping to you! Please e-mail me at mabieme1999@yahoo.com if interested

Pink Chocoate & some football!

"Oh send Your light and Your truth! Let them lead me; Let them bring me to Your holy hill and Your tabernacle." Psalm43:3

I sat down with the kids today and rush of emotion just flooded me. My eyes flooded and the dam broke and all the water just came gushing out as if there was nothing to hold it back! Mind you these were not tears of sadness, but tears of joy. Watching my children made me realize that the truth is in them, the truth is the small child that has not been hurt by a friend, truth is in a child that has not had a promise broken, truth is in a child that has not felt the anger and bitterness of another human.

Truth is nowing Jesus as your personal savior. Truth is living for Him, loving the little children he has given my husband and I to raise and having faith that he will help us guide them to His truth. Truth is in the little eyes, how they look at me when I loose my temper. To me the Lord has sent me His light and His truth...he has given me my chilsren. I am alwas trying to better myself for them and in turn am bettering myself for God as well. God sent me these little angels to help me be ready for Him. I have become a better person because of my children and I am working on my faults because I don't want my children to pick them up or be hurt by them. I love these little gee wiz moments in my life when I realize that God molds us in every aspect of our lives and how He is the only way to the tabernacle!

Here is my challenge card for yesterday...my computer was acting up and wouldn't let me post...I got a bit frustrated and went to bed! LOL
So yesterdays challenge on SCS was Emily's color challenge. I Love this color combo, but choose a very simple simple design as the kids were occupied for a minute and I could get a VERY QUICK card in.
The colors were Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip and Pink Pirouette...great colors huh! I used my Upsy Daisy stamp set and same ink and some pretty ribbon and the card is now on it's way to a lucky recipient!
Supplies:
Stamps: Upsy Daisy, Best yet (earn this set FREE...ask me how!)
Ink: Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip
Paper: Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate chip, shimmery white
Accessories: Sponge, 1 1/4 Pink Pirouette Grosgrain ribbon
The Skins Game!!!
My sister and I got to go to the game on Sunday and what a game it was...her father-in-law gets her club level tickets and
with those come great parking! We were just a few rows from the stadium!!!

This is a shot of the field after a touchdown. All the Rdskins Cheerleaders go on the field and do their thing and some HUGE flags get waived...it's soooooo awesome to be there and hear all those people cheering and carrying on. The game day smells the chill in the air the crazy fans...it's just awesome! I love love love going...unfortunately I don't get a chance to go too often...the last time I got to go was almost 10 yars ago, just a couple weeks away from being 10 years...man how time flies!

While we two crazy guys jumped the wall and ran accross the field...they got tackled and taken away in handcuffs...crazy guys! But hey at least I have a story to tell! It was soooo funny them trying to get away from the guards...the guy on the field finally got tackled by one of the sis players! I guess he'll always have a story to tell too! LOL

And this is my sister and I...she's wearing the burgandy hat and I have the tan hat...isn't she just gorgeous! Thank you so much sister for all the fun memories that we created! I had a blast and am so glad it was just you and me! Who knew two chicks could have such a great time at a football game!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hosting SCS

Challenge...Limited Supply challenge 190 that is! Since my very first challenge I started with a color and for my next challenge in November I have a color I thought I would have a theme...a color limit...I love hosting! So fun!!! Anywho here are the deets!

Eyelets, ribbon and one sheet of designer paper...that's all! Yup you read it right! Of course you can use your basic cardstock...as long as the card only has those things mentioned above...and be sure to use the color blue somewhere in there too!

So there are lots of no nos, no punches, no cuttlebugs, and if you're using double sided paper...only use one side! I know rules are so hardt o follow! But please please try your hardest! You know you want to play!
Need Some Inspiration? Okay here are a couple cards!

This fisrt one also used the plaid from yesterdays challenge...Love this paper. a very cute sketch that I rotated...found this sketch on miss JulieHRR's blog...thanks for the neat sketch Julie! This card is already in an envelope addressed and ready to go! I hope te recipient likes it! The sentiment is from a set called Topiary by the Little Paper Shop...Love this little set!

Supplies:

Stamps: Dreams Du Jour (su!), Topiary (by Little Paper Shop)

Paper: Kiwi Kiss, really Rust, Natural vanilla, Designer paper by chatterbox

Ink: Kiwi kiss, chocolate chip craft

Accessories: jumbo eyelet, crop-a-dial, kiwi kiss ribbon, sponge

This next card I made with the intentions of using it for the sketch challenge on Wednesday but when I went to upload I saw that my skecth was off...so I used it for my challenge instead! LOL I have a ton of eyelets and need to use them up, or loose them! So I made this little beauty. I love all the eyelets...aren't they pretty! I made both of the circles using my Coluzzle cutting system and then layered them. The center heart is raised up on dimentionals...a lot more blue on this one! You can use as much or as little as you want!

Supplies:

Stamps: Heard from the heart (SU!), Sock Monkey (SU!)

Ink: Staz-on black, pink pirouette, ridding hood red, tempting turquoise

paper: Sahara Sand, tempting turquoise, shimmery white, tempting turquoise designer paper

Accessories: bold bright eyelets, crop-a-dial, sheer ribbon, sponge, coluzzle, aqua painter

Thanks for stopping by!
