Pumpkin Carving...

Hello all! We did some pumpkin carving earlier this week. The kids loved it and so did I...I never got to do this as a kids and I am lovin it as an adult! This first one is mine...tried the scrapping thing into the sides and I think the swirls look pretty neat! I love this time of year...be it called Fall, Autumn, harvest festicals or halloween...I think it fun...although not the scary parts, just the cute stuff. The smells of the season and the cool crisp air...although cool and crisp is where I would like for it to stay...I don't like cold! Anywho, I digress...this is my pretty pumpkin!

And these are two of my 3 sweet children...the other one did NOT want to cooperate in the photo taking and Bella has some sort of silly face going on...I think she looks cute though and I love her, dirty and all! Isn't their pumpkin cute too? They each took turns helping Daddy with the carving...he's much braver than I am, that's for sure!

Whatever you decided to do today...I hope you enjoyed it! Have a blessed day!

Such a SLIME bag!

Hey there...just thought I would share these cute little bags of slime I made for my sons school party today...I think they are super cute and the little eyes are just the best! I did add to the top of each bag "DO NOT EAT" you just never know what kids will put in their mouths! LOL

I also made a little tag to go along with the slime on how to care for it...it's just too much fun to play with and super easy to make!

Here are the instructions!

Supplies: borax, white school glue (such as elmers), food coloring and water

3 bowls.

-In one bowl mix 1 cup of what with 1 teaspoon of Borax and mix until borax is disolved.

-in another bowl mix 4ox of glue with 1/2 cup of water and food coloring.

-combine the two and move into third bowl to mix fully...there will be some watery substance as you move it to the thrid bowl.

Here is a link to pics of how to make it as well.

Stamps: Boo by little Paper Shop

Hello my friends,

Today is my very first post with the wonderfully awesome Whimsy Stamps Challenge DT...I am soooo honored to be a part of this wonderful team...did you know that we have a page on SNR? Come check us out there...We have chats and fun stuff going on!

This weeks challenge is to make a card with embossing...any kind of embossing. Dry embossing, regular embossing, embossing with your Scor-Pal...anything goes...you don't have to use Whimsy Stamps to play along, we would love to see them if you have them but they are not required...Come come and play along!

For my card I used the Bride and groom digi image from Whimsy Stamps. I printed it a bit larger than the file comes and then cut it out using my nestabilities die, cut and smbbossed it. I also used a stampin up floral ave. embossing folder for the pretty flowers and then some pearls from my pretties kit. The sentiment is from Little Paper Shop...it's from a set called {Topiary} .

I hope you like my simple card. I can't wait to show you what other awesome images Whimsy Stamps has...but if you can't wait for my samples please check them out at their site here! ohh and yes this card went to the bride and grrom at the top of my post!

The inside of my card reads... " May this day you share be filled with love and laughter. May all th days ahead be happy ever after!" I wish I could take credit for this super cute inside, but I can't and I really don't remember who wrote it...bummer!

Your Next Taylored Sketch Inspiration

Hello stamping friends...sorry for my absence this week...I was a bit busy with my mom and sister sisiting me on the Island...and they only stayed for one short week so we had to take advantage of every minute!

But I am back today and I have a card that meets several fun challenges in blog land. I used the sketch from last weeks Taylored Expressions SC86 post and I used the IC challenge 202 for todays challenge as well as the Pink and Yellow challenge from Your Next Stamp challenge blog...lot's of fun and a super cute card!

This stamp set set is called {Birthday Princess} and it's by Your Next Stamp...they have some super fun stamps and you should go check them out...they just lowered their shipping costs too, so now they are even more of a bargain! I did some paper piecing on these gorgeous girls...I love paper piecing...it turns out so super cute and it's soooo easy! I then colored the rest of the girls, the hair and skin. Added some glitter and gems and called it a day...I did use a cuttlebug alphabed {Olivia} for the Thanks...I haven't used that think in a while...I really like how it turned out! Although, I think that I really need more ribbon...can a girl have too much ribbon, buttons, pretty papers, stamps, accessories, hmmm what else does a girl need! LOL

This is the tile that I was inspired by over at Xenia Taler . I was inspired by the pretty colors and the dots are just awesome! I used gems instead of gems and I think it looks super cute! The saffron on the tile is just gorgeous!

Supplies:
Stamps: Birthday Princess by Your Next Stamp
Ink: Stazon black
Paper: retired designer paper, so saffron, regal rose
Accessories: gems, cuttlebug Olivia font, water color pencils, glitter

Thank you sooo much for stopping by! I hope you like my card today! Happy Stampin!!!

One of the firefighters on based just moved into their new home and I thought I would be nice and make then a little treat...I know how it is when you just move in and nothing is in the right place and you just want a little something something to snack on...so the kids and I baked, it turned out yummy and I just added a tag and called it a day! This is also for today's SCS WT239 challenge...around the world...and even all the way over here on the Island of Crete, hospitality goes a long way!

World Card Making Day Projects

So yesterday was world card making day...I didn't get a chance to stamp yesterday, but I did today! YEAHHHH!!! I have a couple projects for you from challenges I did at Splitcoaststampers.

The first challenge I did was Magnolias challenge to make a Christmas Ornament...which I encorporated again with Whimsy stamps challenge to use eyelets. I made a Kusudame Ball ornament. I have made these before and I absolutely LOVE making them...so when I saw the challenge I knew what I was making! For my little tag I used the key tag punch and the a large eyelet. My stamp set is from Little Paper Shop and it's called Merry and Bright...it's on sale right now and you can win it for free...all the deets here! I also used some taffeta ribbon along with some pearls and ribbons to make it sparkle on the tree!
Here is a close up of the ball...it actually is 12 individual flower pedals made from 60-3x3 squares...time consuming, but definately worth the efforts...please let me know if you would like to see a tutorial!

This is my last project, as it's already late and I have pre-school in the Am to teach! It's a sketch challenge by Beate, Jenn and Lori from the SCS crew and it was a sketch challenge...I already had all my stuff trimmed, all I had to do was stamp and punch! It was super easy and super cute and it also fit Beate's Sketch 100 challenge on her blog! For this card I used another stamp set by Little Paper Shop...it's called {Garden Gate} I love the sentiments in this set!!!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Again please let me know if you would like for me to make a tutorial for the Kusudame Balls...they are sooo fun!

LPS Release Day! {10-3-09}

Hello my stamping friends! It's release day over at the Little Paper Shop and there are lots and lots of fun things in store for you! First we have another AWESOME set to share with you today...I know another set on release day....we're wild and crazy that's what's going on! Ohhh Silly me! Happy Worls world card making day to you! Speaking of World card making day... we have a special special fun giveaway over at the LPS Blog! But please don't go just yet, I have to show you the new set!!!

We were challenged to make a card with no traditional christmas colors...no red or green....I think mine fits the bill...I actually made a set of 3x3 card tags. After I cut the cards to size and stamped the sentimen, I ran each one through the big shot with a cuttlebug embossing folder that had bleen slightly inked with bashful blue ink. I then cut a small pice of designer paper in bashful blue to 1x3 and faux stitched it and added it to a piece of basic black to mat.
Stamp the star in versamark ink and then heat emboss with silver embossing powder. Cutting was the hardest part of this card...so all 3 took me a total of 10 minutes to make! ohh yes, the stars are also on dimentionals for a little hight! The tags are super cute and simple and will make a nice addition to any present this Christmas...maybe I'll use them for tags on my baked goods this year!

Here is a closeup of one of the cards...I just love this set {Merry and Bright}! I love how a stamped sentiment looks under embossing, looks so cool!

Supplies:
Stamps: {Merry and Bright} by Little Paper Shop
Ink: Stazon black, versamark
Paper: Bashsul blue, basful blue designer paper, basic black and white
Accessories: Big shot, CB embossing folder, fine tip marker, silver embossing powder, heat gun, bashful blue taffeta ribbon, dimentionals

Thank you soo much for stopping by! You all rock!

Ohh before I go! You can win all 4 sets that we have been previewing FREE!!!! Simply play along with the challengeover at the LPS Blog and be entered to win. The challenge is to use NON-Traditional Christmas colors and will remain open for customers to play until Sunday, Oct 11th. The winner of that challenge will win ALL 4 releases so please mention that on your blogs.

Merry and Bright will be given away for leaving a comment on the LPS Blog and winner will be announced on Monday

As if that weren't enough, all sets that are being released today will be on sale from now until August 9th...so head on over to The Little Paper Shop and start shopping!

Sneaky Peaky Hosting LPS {10-2-09}

Hello there my friends... today is day 3 of Little Paper Shop release countdown... and it's also my turn to host the Limited Supplies Challenge 240 over at SCS...so in honor of both...I have made a super cute card!

For my card I used Taylored Expressions sketch challenge 84 and Whimsey Stamps challenge to use eyelets on my card. I used the Bella rose designer series paper and a piece of Confetti white cardstock. I then used the nesties 3 lables to cut directly into the background...I really think this looks neat! I then stamped the tree and the girl and used my colluzle to cut it out and trimmed around the parts that *stick* out. The rest was simple, cut, color, glue! LOL ohh yes I also sponged around the edge of the tree with summer sun...for a warm glow!

For this card I also used the Flourishes Newsletter FTTC35 challenge out of the frame.

The set I used for this card is called {Katie Christmas} and will be available from Little Paper Shop tomorrow! I know you love this set and want to see more of what was made with it...and I know you want a chance to wint his set...I know you do! So hope on over the the Little Paper Shop Blog and simply leave a comment for your chance to win...and be sure to come back tomorrow and a HUGE release and a look at another wonderful set!

Supplies:
Stamps: {Katie Christmas} by Little Paper Shop
Ink: Stazon brown, kiwi kiss, riding hood red, summer sun, close to cocoa, chocolate chip
Paper: Bella rose dp, confetti white cardstock
Accessories: nestabilities lables 3, coluzzle, glitter, reinkers, blender pen, big shot, gold eyelets, big shot

Sneaky peaky Christmas Tags {10-1-09}

Today the Little Paper Shop is previewing one of their newest sets to be released on the 3rd of OCtober...which is also World card making day! YEAHHHH!!!! We are gearing up for the holidays here at Little Paper Shop, so this release is all about Christmas...gotta love it!

The set is called {Christmas Tags} and I think it's super cute! I opted to make a little tag with my tag set for this adorable box...I'll be using it as a gift for s friend here soon!

For this project I used some fun polkadotted paper and some real red cardstock that I punched all along the edges and then adhered to the DP. Simply tied a satin ribbon all around and added a pretty little tag...hahaha I just noticed that I didn't put on the scalloped circle like I had planned to! What is wrong with me?! hmm lack of sleep and worried about my hubby! that might be it!
I then stamped the inside sentiment on vanilla and used a 3/4 invh square punch to punch it out ona diagonal, sponged the edges and added more adhesive! I lvoe how it turned out though!
I still think it's super cute! Please stop by the Little Paper Shop Blog and leave a comment to be entered to wint thi awesome set!
BTW, I also made this for The Pink Elephant challenge #34 to use polkadots, punches, tags! Fun challenge!
Thanks sooo much for stopping by! Please stop by LPS BLOG to see what the other incredible designers have come up with!
Hugs and happy stampin'
