MFT Guest desinger contest once again!

So I gave it another go at the MFT Guest designer contest, I love my creations, but I think this one belongs to Laura over at Wish you were here. She weaved her own basket out of cardstock for peets sake!!! How can a girl compete with that??? I guess I should of slaked off more at school and taken under water basket weaving!

Anywho, I will definately be trying again next month!!! Here are the cute little containers I made!
It's made with the Cerise paper...my FAV (too bad it's no longer available!!!) and I used some light weight coasters to make the box itself...I cut them down to 3x4 and covered them with the paper. I then used my Cuttlebug and my new Scalloped Rectangle Nestabilities to created the window. To add the acetate, I just sandwiched it between the coaster and the black cardstock on the inside...too easy!
So because I was feeling lazy, I used a hot glue gun and adhered it all together...this is acutally a 3x3 square box...just 4 inches tall.

For the Lid, I used some more coasters and cut it to 3 1/8 square and used the leftovers from the sides doe the hand down part... I covered the top of the box with the designer paper as well and added a sentiment and some embelishments. painted the sides with red craft paint and added the scallops (cut off the largest rectangle Nestabilities) added a ribbon, some more scallopsa shrinky heart (from the always set) a sentiment and called it a day!

Isn't the sentiment cute? In the box there are a bunch of life Savers and one Worthers... I was hoping to put more in there, but that was all I had...anywho I think it's cute and will make a great little something for someone...even if I do change the sentiment!

And for my next entry... I used...gasp...some...coasters! LOL So I use these a lot, but hey I have a lot, so why not right?

I really like how this tirned out too! I love these bright colors...they just look sooooo springy...which I wish it was, even though the temps are spring like, there are no leave, no chirping crickets, no spring smells. (ooppss I'v gone off on a tangent again!)
Again I cut down the coasters, this is 4x4x2
The sentiment is actually a rub on that I have had for quite some time and I have no clue where I got it...Traget I think a while back. And I also happened upon this super cute ket chain thing and I thought it would look cute on here... added some eyelets, ribbon, and adhesive just to be on the safe side and called it a day for the boxes! And then I cut all the papers for the chocolate nuggets (1 1/8 x3 inches) and stamped a little flower in the center of each (same flower that's on the box) once that was done, I stamped the flower again on the cello bag, tissue paper and tag. Put the chocolate in the bag and pretty ribbons and you have got yourself a pretty little gifty gift!
I hope you get a chance to stamp today...so much fun and sooo good to you too!
Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Stampin,
Silvia
