I'm a challenge hostess!!!

So today is my turn to host the challenge on SCS and I have choosen to do Orange Roasters...make a card using the color orange and a coffee image! Any shade of orange is just right!

So here is my card ... Did I do okay on the challenge? Who doesn't love a good cup of coffee?

For this card I wanted to do the emboss resist technique...SomI fisrt stamped the coffee cup with Craft Chocolate Chip ink and covered it in clear embossing powder and heat set...then I stamped the steam in Versamark and topped that with clear embossing powder and heat set. The final step to this process is to use a brayer and ink it well then go over the whole sheet of paper...be sure to wipe the excess ink off the embossed images with a tissue! (doesn't the steam look just perfect?

I mounted the now Tangerine Tango (I say now because it used to be vanilla when we fisrt started!) cardstock and mounted it onto chocolate chip cardstock. Added a piece of hardware from my new pack of clips assortment and some chocolate chip tafetta ribbon to the main image.

For the base of the card I wheel the Swirly stars (retired) wheel across the top using tangerine tango classic ink and then added a portion of the top note die that I made using the exclusive SU! die's. Once I cut out the die using my die cut machine, I inked the edges with chocolate chip ink and a sponge. Added ribbon all the way around the card, adhered the main image and added the sentiment with chocolate chip craft ink and the card is done! What do you think?

What You'll Need!

All supplies by Stampin' Up! Unless otherwise stated.
Stamps: Like it a latte, star swirls wheel (both retired)
Paper: Chocolate chip, tangerine Tango, very vanilla
Ink: Tangerine Tango (classic), Chocolate Chip (craft), Versamark
Accessories: Clear embossing powder, brayer, taffeta ribbon, Big shot die Top Note, Clips assortment, sponge, wheel handle

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you get to play the challenges today!

Don't forget about my ribbon share in this post here

Happy Stampin'

The question, "Who doesn't love a good cup of coffee?" I don't! but I do love your card & the "steam" is great! You did good but in my mind it is cappuccino in the cup! *Ü*

Neat card and challenge Silvia. Thought of you today when I used my 40% off coupon at Hobby Lobby on the Basic Grey micro tools file set. You pointed it out when it first came out and I haven't forgotten!
