Tuesday's Teacher

Today has been a bit of a frenzy! I have been working on some bridal shower favors for my sister and a scrapbook for her to give to a bride...she's hosting a shower at her house this coming Saturday! So with out further wait...here is today's Bible verse.

Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which can not be moved, but abides forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds His people from this time forth and forever. Psalm 125:1-2

Gosh if Gods love, strength and comfort are like a mountain that surrounds us I really never want to leave the valley! The Lord God is such a light to me, He strengthens me when I am weak, he lifts me up when I am in need of hope, He gives me courage when there is no courage to be had...I find such comfort in knowing that God is there for me, that He loves me unconditionally and that He will ALWAYS love me, always be there for me no matter how far I stray or how unhappy I make him with the bad choice I make. God loves me, and He loves you too! I pray that today you are touched by His grace, His love and His unending power to surround you forever!

Tutorial: Bridal Shower Favors
Supplies:For this project, you will need:
- a sheet of cardstock that measures 4x10.5 inches (shere shimmery white)
- your scor-pal or other scoring tool
- a good adhesive
-some eyelets
-crop-a-dial or other eyelet setting tool
-ribbon
-stamp set
-coordinating accessories
For your first step you will want to place your piece of cardstock in the upper corner of your Scor-pal and score at 3.5 inches and again at 7 inches.
Once you have scored it fold the cardstock with the "valley" on the outside...one side will be slightly longet than the other, so it's important to fold it before you cut off the inside flap. Once you have located the shorter flap place it on your paper trimmer with the score line in one cutting groove coming down to almost the opposite corner...see picture.
Your paper should look like this. It is faced down with the valleys on the outside here.
For this next step I used my crop-a-dial to punch the holes in the sides of each flap...I used the large whole punch. I kept my card closed and ounched half way into the cardstock with the hole punch...leaving a half a hole behind.
You will then want to thread your ribbon through first and then add adhesive to the bottom flap...in the picture it shows glue up the short side...after doing 20 I DON'T recommend it! it will be easier to insert the tea bags if you do NOT add the glue to the short flap!
Once you have glued the flap down you will want to add an eyelet to the inside...this will make it more sturdy for the tea bags...plus I alittle dazzle or bling never hurt anyone!
Here is a picture of the inserted tea bags...doesn't it look nice!
And last but not least here is the finished product! I used the heartfelt thanks stamp set and the brides wedding colors. The info was typed up on the computer and I used the write me a memory font CD from SU! I just LOVE the fonts that it has! This whole project was totally inspired by Kittie...one of my customers and good friend! I hope this is what mysis waslooking for and I hope the recipients will enjoy it! So go ahead...make one for yourself, you know you want to!
Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Stampin'

I'm all about "staying in the valley" surrounded by God's love. The funny thing is, even when we feel like we're on the other side of the mountian, away from God's love, we're really still in the valley surrounded at all times by his all-knowing grace.
:)

Love the tutorial, too! Thank you for that fabulous idea!
