A cool container...and a card

Here is a container that I made for a friend as her house warming party...I was just going to wrap her present and then I saw todays inspiration challenge here and knew I had to make a container to put it in! Okay, so maybe I didn't make the sontainer itself, but I did decorate it all pretty and stuff! The container is actually a Be. Creative Container...I got mine at an LSS here in town, but they are now available at Michels and you can use a coupon!

Looking back at it now, I would probably paint the container before decoupaging it...but hey it's too late now, but for next time I'll know better!
I would give this project a 2 on the simple scale...it wasn't very hard to make and it went together very quickly... Just a couple sheets of designer paper and a couple sheets of cardstock and you're good to go! Doncha just love this Basic Grey paper?

This picture shows the back of the container, I wanted to show you how the crease looks when it's open.
Here is a look at the box open...when I had finished and had put her cute PJ pants in there it still looked too plain, so I added more Basic Grey paper...I really think this finishes the box nicely! I also tied the pants with the same ribbon used to tie up the box. The pants say "eat, sleep, scrap" and " Scrapbook Girl" they can be found here. Me and 3 other friends have them and a few of our other friends are getting some as well...we are going to have a girls scrapbooking weekend and we are all going to wear them! How fun!!!
This is a close up of the jumbo brads...I wanted the embelishments to be simple, but I still wanted bling...so I added some jumbo brads with my Crop-a-dial and then through the center of the brads I added some crytal brads my Making Memories. The check ribbon came in a kit that I had not used yet...thanks Wendy, lovin that ribbon!
I wanted to show you a close up of the ribbon threading...origionally this came with a black ribbon that was threaded from the inside with a knot to hold it in place...I still wanted it to close from the outside, but I wanted the ribbon to go all around the outside...what's a girl to do? I used my handy Crop-a-dial to punch another hole...this was the ribbon still comes from the inside, and it goes all around...gotta Love the crop-a-dial!

Supplies:
Stamps: none...GASP!
Ink: None
paper: Basic Grey Designer paper, Doublemates CS in Autumn red
Accessories: Jumbo eyelets & rub-ons (SU!) ribbon, Crop-a-dial, rhinestone brads (making memories)

Thanks for stoping by!

Happy Stampin'
