Faith and Freedom

Our Church (Manassas Assembly of God) is having their annual Faith and Freedom rally...and with that rally usually comes an art exhibit...so this year I decided to enter. I am very excited and I hope everyone will like it...it's a mixed media project...I did some painting, some stamping, some gluing and glittering and also so wire to finish it all off! Here are some pictures of the finished project and some up close pics so you can see all the details.

Here is my submission! It's a 9x9 mirror that I got at Ikea and then I painted it white and added crackle finish to it then added the red white and blue...although you can't see much of the blue anymore! The paper at the top corner is mulberry and it looks soft and wispy IRL. I stamped the stars from background basics in real red and brilliant blue and punched them out using the large star punch, attached them using the big ole glue dots to wire that I had wrapped around different sized pencils and called it day...well with the exception of adding glitter of course!

Here is a close up of the sentiment...it's from Verve Visuals serenity stamp set...great set! A perfect sentiment to go with this theme since we can Do all things through God and he provides us with the freedom we need as long as we have Faith in Him.

Here is a close up of the top corner... I know that mulberry looks black, but it's actually a cobalt blue in real life... same color as the stars! I really like the dimension that the stars and the wire give it...not to mention all the yummy glitter!

My son saw me creating a "project" and wanted to make one to enter too, so I said...Hey why not! This is what he came up with...isn't it cute? He then stamped the sentiment "I'm praying for you" at the bottom...he's so cute! He's 4 years old and I can not wait to see the look on his face when his work is on display!

Thanks for stopping by!

As always,

Happy Stampin'

Wow! That's some talent from a 4 year old! My boy is still at the scribbling stage, and he's four.

BTW, I visited your site from Melinda's link. I just love your cards. You have a real eye for making some knock-out creations! I'll be checking in again for some more stamping ideas. Great job!
