You're a Classic!
It's a bit more shabby than I normally do, but this stamp totally called for it! It's a birthday card for my father in law and the stamp is called classic cars by Little paper shop...they are having awesome shipping right now...just a dollar for any order!
Anywho, I stamped the image on the very vanilla paper first and then I stamped it again on the designer paper (old Su! back from 05...it was a scrap!) and then I cut it out, I also used the exacto knife to cut out the windshield and window, and a 1/4 inch hole punch to cut out the headlight! I am not steady enought with the exacto for that! I then colored the lights barely banana and the windows sage shadow and applied Crystal effects to both...they look like glass...too cool! I adhered the designer paper right over the other stamped image, so now you can hardly even tell...I love paper piecing! It makes the whole thing look so awesome!
To finish off this card I used my Chocolate Chip craft pad and destressed all the edges and smudged it up a bit...made it look old! The sentiment was computer generated!
For the 3 strips behind the main image, I stamped the card on sahara sand using sahara sand ink and then sponged all the edges with always artichoke, added some hodge podge and called it a day!
What will you need:
Stamps: Classic Car from little paper shop
Ink: always artichokeclassic, shara sand classic, chocolate chip craft
Paper: Always artichoke, sahara Sand, very vanilla, retired SU! designer papers
Accessories: Hodge podge hardware, crystal effects, small oval punch, markers, sponges, 1/4 inch circle punch
Thanks for looking!

Another Dirty Challenge!
Featured Stamper a day late...
For this card I used river rock as the base and foe the next layer I used real red...folowed by soime designer paper and ribbon. For the little medalion, I used old olive classic ink to stamp the tree branches and then I used craft chocolate chip ink to stamp the pine cone that I then covered iwht clear embossing powder and heat embossed...did the same thing for the berries, but with real red craft ink.
The sentiment I'm a little summed with...I FINALLY got something stamped staight, but it was too high...GRRR I also stamped that with chocolate chip craft ink covered it with clear embossing powder and heat embossed it...the crystal brads finish it off nicely and I think the scallop (made with the scallop border punch) finish things off nicely!
What You'll need:
Stamps: Peaceful wishes, Holidays and wishes
Ink: Chocolate chip and real red chraft ink, old olive classic ink
Paper: Real red, river rock, shimmery white, designer paper
Accessories: scallop border punch, scallop circle punch, ticket corner punch, coluzzle, rhinestone brads, heat tool, wide real red grosgrain ribbon
Thanks for looking! Have a MERRY CHRISTMAS! LOL

Pacific Dreams
So I didn't hav much time to work on a card today and I wanted to use Pacific Point (one of the new in colors 08) and so here she is! Not too much detail and stuff, but I really like the bling...the adhesive isn't that impossibly bright in real life...you can hardly see it actually, but you know how it is when you're in a hurry!
This card was made for several challenges...cuz you know that's how I roll! It was made for the WT176 Challenge Negative Thoughts. It was also made for a couple Dare to get Dirty 08 challenges. First the Sihlouette Challenge hosted by Joan and also the Stitching challenge Hosted by Julia S
I started with a piece of pacific point cardstock knowing that I really wanted to use this new color...and when I cut it I happen to lay it upon some Sahara sand and I though...hey this isn't so bad! So I went with it. I used that very piece and punched a 3 inch scallop circle out of it and used the negative (or left over) of the punch and stamped the sihlouette image on the inside and went from there. I then stamped the print pattern background stamp (which is only available until Aug 10th!) in Sahara sand on sahara sand...tied the ribbon, stamped the sentiment and did some sewing! And there you have it...a simple, cute and blingy card! Ohhh I also sponged the inside of the scallop circle as well as all the way arount he outside!
What you will need:
Stamps: Happy Harmony, print pattern
Paper: Pacific Point, sahara sand
Ink: Pacific Pount, Sahara sand, stazon Timber Brown
Accessories: Bling by Heidi swapp, Wide Vanilla Grosgrain ribbon (su!), Linnen thread, paper piercer, 3inch scallop circle punch
Thanks for stopping by!
I'm working on a journal with Taylors challenge to use a cupcake...maybe tomorrow!

5 Dirty Challenges 2 Cards!
So for this card I have 3 challenges covored. JullieHRR for one layer, Lauren's challenge for Monochromatic cards, and Jenn Balcers Challenge, an inspiration challenge, I was inspired by the lush bow on that yummy looking cake, so I added a lush satin bow to my card!
If you notice near the top, I thought her clevage was a bit too low, so I made her wear a little lacy camie under her dress! I used the scallop punch and a 1/16th hole punch to create that!
I started off by sketching out a template on half a sheet of scrap paper and then cut it out of shimmery white cardstock (this is a full sheet folded in half), I then added the regal rose sponging and then the rose red sponging all around. The final step of stamping was to add the baroque motif stamp set stamped in purely pomegranate and the flower buds in regal rose.
Last, but certainly not leasy, I added the ribbon and these lush half pearls to make it look even more elegant. The ribbon turned out just like I had envisioned, but then I added the center pearl with too much adhesive (note to self, next time DON'T use pop up glue dots!) Maybe I can add some glitter to mask the huge blob of glue! All in all I'm pleased with how it turned out...I don't know who I'll be giving it to, but I hope they like it...whoever they are!
What You'll Need
Stamps: Baroque motifs
Paper: shimmery white cardstock
Ink: Regal rose, rose red, purely pomegranate
Accessories:ribbon, pearls (pretties kit) , scallop border punchsatin ribbon, 1/16th hole punch, sponges
This card was made for 2 challenges. Holly's Sketch challenge and Sharon's Stamp simply challenge. For this card it was mostly a paper cutting session and the card was done in a flash...I love how it turned out and I think the little birdie looks cute in that print!
What you'll need:
Stamps: A little birdie told me
Ink: Staz-on timber brown, really rust, chocolate chip
Paper: Chocolate Chip cardstock (su!) certainly Celery cardstcock (su!) really rust cardstock (su!) designer paper by BoBunny
Accessories: ribbon scallop border punch, sponge, 1/16th hole punch

Tuesday's Teacher
The next step is to use your coluzzle cutting system and cut out an oval...I used the 5th one from the center and cut through both layers (tip: hold the cutting pen at a 90 degree andgle from the paper you are cutting)
Once you clip the little tabs, your card should look like this!
The final step with the coluzzle is to cut another oval...I used the 6th oval from the inside. I center the cutting system on the designer paper and it away.
I then used the center leftover piece to punch out 45 (1/4) inch circles and adhere the opposite pattern to the inside of the oval, adhered that to the card base and this is what it looks like...45 little circles seems like a lot, but it actually went really fast!
The final steps are to decotate and stamp as you wish! I tied a piece of wide vanilla grosgrain ribbon and then stamped the bird image twice... once with river rock and then again over the top but slightly to the side on stazon timber brown.
Added some Pearls from the Pretties kit and did some paper piercing.
And stamped the flourish and flur-de-lis on the inside along with a sentiment and called it a day!
What do you think? Do you like it? The colors are from todays color challenge 176 Soft sky, river rock and very vanilla. I think it turned out super cute and just perfect for some anniversaries I have coming up!
Thanks for stoppin by and don't forget about my blog candy here...you have until Monday!

Added some glitter, ribbon and punched out 3 1/4 inch circles and called it a day...So what do you think?

Shadow Box Frame Challenge
Right now on Splitcoast stampers they are having the 4th Anniversary of the "Get Dirty 2008" and all week they are doing challenges for Fan Club members to play along with...we had 2 today One was Lauries to use Vellum and the other was Jody's to use ribbon. So what;s a girl to do but play along! I actually had a blast making this project. I have pretty much known what I was going to do from the minute she asked me to make it for her, I just had to sit down and do it! This is a 9x9 shadow frame that I picked up at Ikea and then I used the Berry Bliss designer paper (which is retiring by August 10th) and some purely pomegranate double stitched ribbon (no longer available). I also used a strip of vellum 4.25x5.5 and ran it through my cuttlebug embossing folder using the polka dots folder and added it to the top...covered my edges with the ribbon so that it all looks seemless!
This is a close up of the Bible verse...isn't it just the most amazing verse to use on a birth announcement? I love how the fonts look so nice together! Also in the corner I used a rubon to add more texture and dimention to the empty space...I have issues with "white space"
I wanted to be able to see the info that was on the inside of the announcement without having to tear it appart...I like how it looks with the top flap a little shorter, so I decided to cut a piece of the paper to fit in my printer and printed the info right on the dotted paper...leaving off the name and Bible verse of course!
I also had a wallet size picture of the birth announcement picture so I cut it out and added it...isn't it just too cute! her little hand is just too precious hangin out there!
The final touch was to add the little hearts...they are actually a rub on that I added to the glass once I had finished the frame...I hope she like it! If you would like a personalized shadow box for any occasion please feel free to contact me at mabieme1999@yahoo.com I will work with any size or theme.
What do I need?

Paper: Berry Bliss designer paper, vellum cardstock

Featured Stamper Challenge
What was I inspired by? I was inspired by this little beauty! Okay so I know my card doesn't look anything like the one you see in the link above, but I really really wanted to make an explosion card! So I used the same colors and dots and I even used some glitter...aren't you proud of me?
Here is a side view of the card...on the right hand flap I stamped Happy Belated Birthday. The pink paper was stamped with the Wanted stamp set in close to cocoa classic ink.
And this is a top view...isn't this card impressive? I know I would love to get a card like this for my birthday...even if it was late!
Like I said, I have been wanting to make an explosion card for a while and couldn't open Dawn's AWESOME video tutorial found here So I took the measurements that she had given at the top and fiddled with it for a while until I figured it out...trust me you wanna see her tutorial...I hear it's super easy to follow!
What do you need?
Stamps: Wanted, Older and wiser
Paper: close to cocoa card stock, Berry Bliss designer paper
Ink: Close to cocoa, stazon Timer brown
Accessories: scor-pal, glitter
Let me know if you need any help, I can always make a photo tutorial if you would like also!
NSR-Everyday Chit Chat
We had ourselves a good ol' family reunion today...my mother-in-laws side of the family and it was sooo nice to get together with everyone! We hadn't seen most of them in a couple of years (which is ridiculous cuz we don't live that far apart) So we all decided that we need to get together more often!
Here is a picture of Me-Maw (center) and Charlie and Aunt Pat. We just love these people and are so glad they are in our lives...Me-Maw is such an inspiration and such a wonderful woman of God! I pray that I will one day be as strong in my walk with Christ as she is! And this is a picture of all the kids there...we were missing about 5 kids on top of all the ones that were there...we are a bunch pf procreating fools! LOL
