Tuesday's Teacher

Hello there,
I told ya I would be back after bed time! Thanks for comming back to see what I'm up to today! Here is todays Bible verse!

"Let those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You." Psalm 40:16

Let me just start by sayin that no one cares for a moody, sad, always down in the dumps Christian! Now that I got it out of the way...don't be mad at me! I say that it's okay to be sad, it's okay to complain from time to time and it's even okay ro cry and ask for prayer...but are you one of those people that just rains on everyone elses parade? You know the type...weather you go to church or not, weather you are a Christian or not, there are people out there that can not seem to be happy no matter what! Sure they just won the lotto, "but now I have all these taxes to pay" wahhh wahhh wahhh.

I just want to say that you really should be happy no matter what comes your way! The Lord wants us to thank Him for he good and the bad times we are going through. He has allowed us to go through those bads times not only to see how we persevere through them, but also to see if we can handle bigger and better things in out lives...I was just recently watching "Where the Red Fern Grows" with my son and the boy really wanted hunting dogs, he told his grampa that he had been praying for months for these dogs but he didn't think God wanted him to have them...then the grampa told the boy that maybe God just wanted the boy to show Him that he really wanted the dogs and maybe meet him half way! So the boy worked hard and earned enough money to get the dogs...God didn't not want the boy to have the dogs...just like God doesn't want you to have good things, sometimes you just have to work a little harder for the things you want and be HAPPY along the way!

So go out and show everyone you come in contact with the Love, Grace, Mercy and Kindness of God by always having a cheerful heart...like I said there are times when you should cry, be sad, upset, and share it with others because botling up those feelings, is after all unhealthy, just don't make it an everyday occurence!
Open Card Front Tutorial

Supplies Needed:
Stamps: (here Carte Postale and hugs and wishes)
Ink (here River rock, soft sky, stazon Timber brown)
Paper:
-1/2 sheet of cardstock (here soft sky)
-4 1/8 x 5 3/8 piece of cardstock (here river rock)
-4x 51/4 piece of designer paper (here soft sky designer series)
Cutting system (here coluzzle)
Accessories (here ribbon, 1/4 inch punch, scor-pal, ATG adhesive, piercing tool, Pretties Kit *pearls*)
You will want to start by scoring your half shhet of soft sky cardstock in hald and then adhering the river rock on top of the soft sky.

The next step is to use your coluzzle cutting system and cut out an oval...I used the 5th one from the center and cut through both layers (tip: hold the cutting pen at a 90 degree andgle from the paper you are cutting)

Once you clip the little tabs, your card should look like this!

The final step with the coluzzle is to cut another oval...I used the 6th oval from the inside. I center the cutting system on the designer paper and it away.

I then used the center leftover piece to punch out 45 (1/4) inch circles and adhere the opposite pattern to the inside of the oval, adhered that to the card base and this is what it looks like...45 little circles seems like a lot, but it actually went really fast!

The final steps are to decotate and stamp as you wish! I tied a piece of wide vanilla grosgrain ribbon and then stamped the bird image twice... once with river rock and then again over the top but slightly to the side on stazon timber brown.

Added some Pearls from the Pretties kit and did some paper piercing.

And stamped the flourish and flur-de-lis on the inside along with a sentiment and called it a day!

What do you think? Do you like it? The colors are from todays color challenge 176 Soft sky, river rock and very vanilla. I think it turned out super cute and just perfect for some anniversaries I have coming up!

Thanks for stoppin by and don't forget about my blog candy here...you have until Monday!

Happy Stampin'

I absolutely love the card you made for color challenge 176, with river, sky and vanilla. I was very impressed to see how you made the scalloped trim around the middle oval. What a neat idea! I'm going to try it for sure! Thanks for offering the blog candy too!!
