Tuesday's Teacher

Hey all...if you can believe it I had todays project done yesterday...all pictires taken and uploaded and resized all ready to go! So without further adieu, Here is today's Bible verse:

"The Lord is my helper; I will not fear..." Jeremiah 13: 6

This is one of those bible verses that I just can't help coming back to again and again! It always seems that I am worring or nervous about somehting...Will I be a good wife I thought before I got married. Will I be a good mom was my number one fear before I had kids. And now I just seem to worry about the littlest things...I have to trust in the Lord my God...He knows what is in store for me, I know I have to do my part to get whre he wants me, but I don't need to worry about all the little details...Like what my kids will be like in college, are they going to be good kids? You know the oldest is only 4, I have a long way before he gets to college and I should just focus on what we are doing today! The Lord is my helper...all I have to do is ask and he will answer my prayers...might not be in the way I think he should answer it, but he will answer! LOL

"Faux Ric Rac with scallop punch Tutorial"
Supplies: Su! Scallop border punch, 2 strips of paper(one) 1inch thick and (one) 7/8th of an inch thick...Mine are 5 inches long because that is what length I needed for my card!
You will want to start with just punching a scallop border with the new Su! scallop border punch.
This is where the magic begins! Once you have punched one side of the paper, you will want to flip it over and lign up the curve of one scallop with the point of the bottom scallop...so that they are NOT ligned up...am I making any sence? Once you figured out the placement of the paper you will bring it down so that it's flush with the punch and go for it!
I hope that wasn't too confusing!
See the ric rac forming as you move the paper and keep punching?
This is what the ric rac looks like after you have punched it...I tried to make an even smaller piece, but it fell appart...sp pretty much 7/8th of an inch is the smallest paper size you can start with!

And this is the fisnihed project! What do you think? The fold on the front of the card is called a blintze fold and was the Wt challenge yesterday on Splitcoaststampers. Thanks for looking! I hope you can make lots of your own ric rac too! I love love love this puch!
